The bar that's pumping out loud music? If anyone spots a confused-looking female in a beige coat that's me trying to find you all.

Yes, great to meet everyone!
A more sedate gathering than the Victoria event, I think

Nice to put some faces to names - though being introduced to several people in quick succession I'm not entirely sure I can remember all of who was who. For the next meeting we need more female attendance: I was outnumbered 5 to 1!

Strange that. Pre matinee it was 4-3 the opposite way round

Nice to see everyone before the matinee! If I hadn't changed my ticket I would make it to the second part as well. O how I loved our talks! You are all so nice!
For those interested: The Life started at around 3:15 and ended at 17:55, I miraculously made it to 18:25 Blackfriars train (only still have troubled breathing from running), made it on time to Dartford... All was well(c)

Sorry to miss everyone yesterday. I arrived around 4.15, which I realised was very early for the post-matinee people, and it was windswept but busy outside and noisy inside. No i-phone to make i-contact and embarrassing to examine everyone for badges, so no luck.

Maybe to think about for next time, was this a suitable venue and did the pre-matinee/post matinee timeslots work?

The time slots were ok. It will always be an issue that many of us do 2 show days so any meet will tend to be filling the gap in between shows. I'm more than happy to miss one show or the other to have a meet without those pressures but perhaps others aren't. Not convinced the venue worked but happy to hear others opinions, perhaps more central is better. You're never going to please everyone and looking through threads today there were plenty of us out in London yesterday who didn't join us, whether it was the venue that wasn't for them or if they don't want to meet us in real life I don't know but it would've been nice to see more.

Made the pre matinee gathering, nice to meet people, wandered back post matinee but turns out those little badges are awfully hard to spot when wandering through crowds of people wondering if any of them are you peeps, didn't have internet access on me so could not do a please identify yourselves.

Well, I'm chipping right in here as I'd really like to do this but already had a theatre visit planned with the family when the date was chosen. Personally, I'd do a meet up without seeing a show as I don't go alone to the theatre and if I'm in London for a show with people I couldn't really disappear for a meet-up with a bunch of 'strangers,' if you see what I mean. I think the problem yesterday was many people trying to fit in too much! And the timescale mentioned was huge - pretty much 12 noon to 12 midnight. Hard to coincide.

I for one am happy to meet up between shows but I wouldn't miss one of the show slots in order to meet. Sorry if that sounds selfish! Not living in London, I want to make the most of my train ticket. Yesterday's venue was fine location-wise but it did get pretty chilly sitting outside as the sun set. However the bar nearby was blasting out loud music so wouldn't have been much use for tryng to have conversations. Of course if the next meet-up is in a couple of months then temparature is less likely to be an issue.

Its good to know you'd also do a meet without a show. Some of those at the previous one didn't do a show. As a suggestion perhaps post matinee would be a good way to go so those doing 2 show days could fit in the meet in between if they wish to. PS Tibidabo. It wasn't a dig at those who didn't come, sorry if it came across that way

infofreako , I didn't take it as a dig whatsoever! You made a fair point about lots of people being in London but not going yesterday. I just wanted to explain why I wasn't there as I've posted that I was in London yesterday. Your suggestion about the main meet being between shows is an excellent one that would serve everyone I think. (Though personally the temperature would have to be over 25 for me to even consider sitting outside!)

If the temperature was over 25 degrees I'd refuse to sit outside unless there was a lot of shade - I hae got weather! If you don't mind my asking, apropos of your previous post, do you really never go to the theatre alone? What if you want to see something & no-one else you know does?

I'm not especially keen on outside to be honest. Same as you,I'd require really decent temperatures. Central is much better on the whole. Most of us who made the between show meet yesterday were off to shows centrally after and I lost a lot of time walking from the Noel Coward then back to Jermyn Street in a relatively short window. The issue of course centrally is finding somewhere we can get seated but that proved an issue at the Understudy too

Never alone. I just miss stuff I want to see - for example I really want to do the Wipers Times and my theatre buddy who comes from abroad and theatre binges has already had a ticket bought for him by another friend who didn't factor me in. Tickets are available for the date they're going but I wouldn't consider sitting on my own. That's how much I won't go alone! 25 but in the shade I should have said!
