Umbrellas of Cherbourg. My favourite film, I loved the musical - witty, moving, creative. So sorry that there was never a recording of this adaptation given I'm sure it will never be seen again...

Oh me bad I forgot Les Miserable my favourite musical of all time.
I enjoyed Rock of Ages a lot more than the critics did and even with a trite book and heavy ROCk, you could easily identify musical theatre at its heart.
Synchrony, some of those I haven't seen.
Should of also mentioned Love Story and wish I saw Imagine This, I love a couple of songs.

Oh crap, how could I forget my favourite show?! Yeah Wicked didn't get the best reviews when it first opened in New York and here we are, 13 years later and it is still one of the top grossing shows on Broadway! |

I can't remember what the critics said about most of the things I've liked. Other people's comments sometimes affect whether I decide to see something, but once I've made the decision those comments slip from my mind.

I can't remember what the critics said about most of the things I've liked. Other people's comments sometimes affect whether I decide to see something, but once I've made the decision those comments slip from my mind. The main reason that I remember what the critics said about Umbrellas was because the show closed within the month.... I recall it got mixed reviews from the assembled throng on the old board (I certainly wasn't the only fan) but it was the very bad reviews that undoubtably killed the show so quickly. |

I loved that show too. And the fact that it cost me £10 to sit in the dress circle made it a real bargain. I felt duty-bound to ring Kneehigh afterwards (it was them, wasn't it?) and tell them how much I loved it, and how sorry I was that it wasn't better supported in the West End. |

I loved Hand To God. Was shocked when the reviews rolled out. Totally felt that some critics didn't 'get' the show (as silly as that sounds). But yeah, an excellent play. Had me in hysterics but also had a nice neat, interesting finale. Got lots of 2* reviews. Shame!
