Twenty minutes before a performance, yes! Everyone is responsible for the show being a success and job title shouldn’t matter. It’s not like Serkis is asking for a basket of puppies to play with, or being an entitled Pr**k. I would assume that 20 minutes before a show he’s got a bunch of stuff to do and that the show is somewhat predicated on him being ready to give his best performance. Wouldn’t anyone just muck in to make that happen? No! Everyone has their own jobs to do, there's usually a bit of downtime before the show, but you don't go wandering around the building to help the Star, just for the hell of it. If anyone is there to assist the Star then it's the Company Manager, who would talk to FoH to get something they wanted, it goes through channels. If the Company Manager found out he was FoH during the incoming he'd be for a talking to! This is really interesting, thank you for explaining this. Obviously this is how it should happen. I hadn’t thought about how important the separation between front and backstage is. I was thinking Serkis was ‘happy high status’ and therefore willing to get his own sweets. But actually, he might be in trouble for this. Fascinating.

So who was helping Nicky Scherzinger to try on dresses hmmm? 👗 Well it wasn't Bob Geldof, because he was at "Just For One Day" yesterday evening. Were there any external signs of his penis travelling up through his mouth and out of his body?

Sunset Boulevard was allegedly delayed one night because Nicole was trying on dresses. There was much discussion at the time. I think Burly’s having some fun and making the forum a bit more interwoven.

Has anyone stacked the deck with look-a-likes? Just in a subtle way? Do a press and media night, hire a load of 'look-a-likes' to just turn up and enjoy the show...

Carrie Hope Fletcher and Joel Montague were at the Jamie matinee today. Both being totally charming with the queue of people wanting to say hello and get selfies.

I might start a thread about ‘misconceptions people who don’t work in theatre have about shows.’ Oooh, ooooh, I have one - people who think the cast etc only show up about 15 minutes before the show starts, and outside of the show they're in they don't have anything else to do, especially on tour.

Not in the audience but pretty sure I saw Tom Fletcher walking on the Strand as I made my way back to Holborn from the National on Thursday evening.
I also randomly bumped into Derren Brown in Starbucks at St Pancras on Friday morning.

One evening I was in a pub sharing a table with Paula Tappenden, Maureen Nolan and Linda Nolan.
I was regretting not having brought some of my older Blood Brothers-programmes.
On my other side sat Honeysuckle Weeks.
I was fangirling on the inside.

Here's my theatre experience: This was more than a decade ago, don't remember the year. We were seeing a West End drama when someone's phone went off. It took the person quite awhile to get to it to turn it off, and since he was in the row in front of us we got a good look at him - it was Hugh Grant.
And my cinema experience: In 1996 London I was at a screening of the movie "Some Mother's Son" about Irish hunger strikers. I didn't realize until the lights went up that Shane MacGowan was sitting right behind us. He was fairly out of it and seemed to have handlers but there is no mistaking Shane MacGowan. I had recently seen him in concert. May he rest in peace.

Cate Blanchett at Hadestown
Cate Blanchett at Enemy Of The People.

When asked for a response, Cate commented: "I am so happy to be here tonight and could not do it without the support of my partner Dave B..."
