I didn't see her (guess she was in a backstage area) but there was a big name at the RSC last night. Impressed she's devoting her spare time to making theatre more accessible

Mark Benton and Mark Shenton at Mary Stuart although not together Oh I saw Mark at the matinee and I know he was at the evening performance too, so I would guess you were at the one I wasn't?

In Melbourne a few months back I was at Megan Hilty's concert and I was sat a few rows behind John Barrowman. I approached him for a photo and it was obvious he was on autopilot every time someone asked for a photo but as soon as he heard my Scottish accent he started talking to me like we were old pals. Before that I was at Hugh Jackman's concert and was sat on the same row as his family (wife, daughter and extended family) and at one point he sung a song directly to Deb and came over to her so he was within spitting distance of me.

The Alison Steadman interview at the BFI tonight, Mike Leigh and Janine Duvitski were sat in the seats behind me (apparently Roger Sloman was also there somewhere but I didn't get to see him).

Matt Cardle was in the seat in front of me (with his girlfriend next to him) at Les Mis last night. They both seemed to enjoy it and joined in with the standing ovation at the end.

Ronnie Wood was at In The Heights last night. He looked really good. He was queuing next to me to get in.

The Alison Steadman interview at the BFI tonight, Mike Leigh and Janine Duvitski were sat in the seats behind me (apparently Roger Sloman was also there somewhere but I didn't get to see him). A group of us went to see Nuts In May on the 2nd January and Alison sat next to us with some friends. We had a nice chat - she was wearing the scarf she waves around near the end of the play. We were all dressed in full 70s gear (don't ask) which confused her a little.

I was there that evening too, Nick but being the BFI I assumed it was just how some people dressed until my partner pointed out that you were in fancy dress!
I missed Alison Steadman but did see Owen Teale and Sylvestra La Touzel.

Actually we're historical re-enactors. Normally we do Tudor re-enactment but 3 years ago we decided to have a go at creating a 1970s campsite set in 1976 - so Nuts in May is perfect 'research' material for us. I don't think Alison Steadman got it at all but she didn't seem too frightened to talk to us!
And thanks for the welcome. Seems like a friendly board.

This thread has slipped down to page 2!
I did see Leslie Odom Jr in the audience at Cynthia Erivo's concert last night - and I think it counts as a spot because I noticed him before he got up to duet with her!

Went to see 20th Century Women at Picturehouse Central with an Annette Being Q&A last night. Was walking towards the usher to check our tickets when I saw a lady I knew I recognised in front of us. After that there were these huge double doors with a huge sign saying NO ENTRY STAFF ONLY PLEASE USE OTHER DOORS TO THE LEFT with a big arrow. I only needed a glance to know which way to go but the lady was staring at the sign for ages then she turned around with the most perplexed look on her face and said to me "oh is it this way?", and I replied yes I think so. The voice confirmed my suspicions of her identity - none other than Una Stubbs! A wonderful encounter and a very smiley person.

Nearly knocked over Jonathan Miller in interval at Rigoletto at the Coliseum yesterday. His fault for being in a direct line between me and the loo.

Well I did have Stephen Rea sat behind me at tonights 25th anniversary screening of The Crying Game at the BFI, unfortunately about 60 seconds after he sat down, someone on the other side of the aisle scuttled over with a rucksack full of tat he was looking to get signed so Stephen thought 'F*** this for a game of soldiers' and moved five or six rows back. Jaye Davidson looked less than impressed when confronted by the same person at the end of the night.
