E4 'Stage School' reality TV show

Oh my lord it's terrible.

I'm not familiar with the word 'hilaire'. Is it some type of northern Cockney rhyming slang type thingy? (Hilaire Belloc = bollocks.) Or is it a fey way of saying hillyhairyarse?

Too lazy?!?! Burly is on this board day and night, working tirelessly to keep us informed and amused, and in lean times of discussion he is always there to generate new topics of conversation. (Even though a fair few of the latter seem to focus on female performers he dislikes.) He was obviously trying to sound "more posh". Which is strange, as I'd always been of the opinion that he was posh.

My dislikes have no gender barriers caiaphas.... Unless of course you're accusing me of MISOGYNY! Not on this forum surely?

I could have sworn I once saw you cavorting about the stage in the Manchesterford Amateur Light Operatic Society's Annual Experimantal Dance Spectacular in which you performed in a gold leotard (and turban) to As If We Never Said Goodbye. And it definitely said 'Lyrical Dance' in the programme.

I think it probably has had such a negative reaction because it is set in a 'real' dance and drama college, where students are paying a small fortune to get an education and training that will eventually lead to a career in performing arts. When did they fit in their education whilst filming this scripted reality drama? They certainly didn't squeeze the filming in over a few weeks of holiday. I know the school and what is does well. They audition 100's of applicants each year and I am sure that this will increase for them but from students who are neither capable or equipped to take the actual training on (not this ridiculous representation of a tough and exhausting training). I think it is shameful, opportunistic and down right vile that an education establishment has allowed their students (and new 'students') to be depicted in this way.
If this was an entirely fictitious programme, with actors playing real characters, set in a fictitious environment I am sure it would be hilarious and would have worked out quite well. Instead the production company have jumped on the bandwagon that is scripted reality and made a mockery of an incredibly demanding profession. I am with my colleagues and I am enraged.

"Evil" implies there's some planning behind his actions. Josh just seems bitchy for the sake of being bitchy, and stupid on top of it. Asking the blonde one what she thought of the other girls while they were sitting literally a few feet behind her and definitely within earshot, what did he expect would happen? Plus the insults that come out of nowhere, the "I'll be working on the West End and you'll be stacking shelves" & "you think you're relevant just because you were on EastEnders" were made out to be these huge **SASSY!!!** comebacks but they had no relation to whatever argument was going on at the time.

And scrubbing names out of rehearsal books? Really? This reminds me of the whole Brexit "use a pen!" conspiracy. You don't "get to the top by stabbing people in the back", you make connections and maintain a good reputation.

I'm starting drama school in a few weeks, please tell me they aren't all like this.

I'm not watching it anymore. 

I caught up with two episodes last night and was disgusted with myself afterwards.  

It is utter utter crap. Badly written, badly directed, badly acted, badly sung. That solo the girl did last night was an abomination. I'm all for watching something so bad that it's good, but this isn't in that category. It's just terrible. I had to fast forward through huge chunks of it. 

I looked up Betsy Blue and Casey who both seem to originate from X Factor? So this isn't even really students, it's just a very bad soap opera acted by people beyond the Z list. 

In addition, they speak like complete morons.
