Hi Marketing/Social Media person đ. Nice to know youâre reading the forum so avidly!
Polite request. If youâre going to use content from this site in your marketing for shows, please have the common decency to name the source. I donât mean our members username preceded by an @ because that, as you know, is totally unverifiable and meaningless. âTheatreBoard memberâ will suffice. Tnx. Luv Ya! â€ïž xoxo

Yup. Flaunt it gurl, you're on fire now, tell Andy I said hi.
I wonder what's happened in the last few days with the forum being used for pull quotes?
We should start asking for press tickets One thing thatâs happened is me getting extremely annoyed about it! Am I not correct in thinking Alecâs quote was taken from Twitter though, not this forum?

Possibly, he used similar words in both. But the principle remains, Menier was using our stuff the other day and didnât even assign the quote to the right person.

I think if they're going to use pull quotes, they need to ask because I don't want my opinion used for publicity reasons even if I did enjoy the production. It's not fair on anyone on us.

Is it not the case that if we âpublishâ that review to the internet weâre essentially putting it out there for anybody to use for whatever?

But to be fair to âHello, Dollyâ, they did credit Alec correctly, with his Twitter handle. Which is how I know it didnât come from here.

We try to be fair to the industry about what we let people post here, I donât think itâs unrealistic to expect a bit of reciprocation.

What Iâm saying is that when you see every blogger on the internet that no-oneâs ever heard of getting named and quoted for their free ticket five star reviews it rankles at how bent it is. (And I donât want free tickets for our members, far from it).

I feel the same. If it starts to happen more often then it'll make me think twice about making positive comments about shows on here. Let's hope BurlyBeaR doesn't get any bull from the press people otherwise he's on the first Avanti train to London! Not sure how much of threat that is, given how often Avanti trains apparently fail to run!!

To be clear my quote was on Twitter and they had my Twitter name (or what ever it's called) underneath. I was just thrilled I had my name up in lights, so to speak. They didn't take it from here but my review on here was similarly gushing.
