Hanging down by her big toe on a wire in a black catsuit and full makey punching in a combination to stop a nuclear bomb going off? After which she leaps to safety and does a pirouette before disappearing into the night leaving Tom Cruise speechless? Seems feasible.

I don't think Chris McCausland being blind will be an issue because there are people who are blind who compete in professional competition, the professional just have to adapt.

And I seem to recall JLS being a fairly physical boy band, so he isn't starting from scratch. But neither is he an obvious ringer

He certainly covers the Welsh contingency.
In my experience, people on the 'heftier' side tend to be extremely light of their feet.
My closest friend is a 'big boy'- his words, not mine, as is my Uncle.
Yet get them on the dance floor and each are a light as a feather!
I think he'll do just fine!

That feels more credible than the previous version
Two of that group are complete unknowns to me but I don't watch Love Island or Gladiators.
So I have some knowledge of 11 out of 14 names which is not too bad (and better than the forthcoming Celeb Masterchef)

Getting a Gladiator for Strictly makes a lot of sense although I'd gone for Matt Morsia aka Legend given he's known outside of Gladiators due to his YouTube channel.
