It was (is) a small blue pin that you could wear when you went to see a show and you could instantly recognise a fellow theatre board member.
Particularly if you are a attending a show alone.
They were sent to me by a Moderator (can't remember who or when exactly) for a theatre quiz once and there were too many. These are what I have left over.

Don’t give anthony40 ideas! If the meet-ups take off we might be able to look into getting more pins. No promises.

Why not have a sash and a combat berry like the old New York guardian angels?
Hope everyone who goes has a great time. I'll not darken it with my presence and B'ham will be rammed as it is the big Pride weekend.

So timing - shall we say between matinee and evening show?
Does anyone want to suggest where to meet? Southbank or somewhere else?
If it works out OK we can hopefully find another date where others who wanted to but couldn’t make it this time can come. With pins 😁
( arranging things like this is most unlike me I have to say!).

This location works for me and the time too. So far I don’t have anything booked for that day so very flexible with the time.

Should we put a time slot around it, say between 5 and 7 or whatever you think best? That way people can drop by as it suits or stay for the whole duration. Making it flexible might encourage more people to join in.

Yes thank you BurlyBeaR that would be great and agree re the time slot! If anyone is going to a show that day and has a preference for location please say! I’d suggest perhaps the National as everyone knows it but aware if anyone is west end somewhere nearer the bridge to embankment may work better ( or in the west end). I’m flexible so no real preference.

Might be in town, but would depend on location and timing.

Sorry just realised I've missed the poll. I can make any of those dates.
Just been looking for my old forum badge, I think last time I wore it was for the Theatre Cafe quiz in Shaftsbury Ave (Anthony40 was also on the team if I'm right?) Anyway couldn't find it unfortunately but I did find a Dress Circle and Stephen Sondheim Society badge together with 2 £1 coins. So worth the hunt.

So, in the event that these badge cannot be sought, I have the 10 remaining ones that I am happy to give away on the day, on a first-come basis, until they run out. One badge per person.

So, actual venue suggestions would be appreciated please. We have the NT as a proposal so far. What do you think of that idea? If that sounds good to people we can go for the NT and look no further.
If not then what other suggestions? I guess it needs to be somewhere reasonably quiet so you can chat, but equally central so that people can get to it from their matinee or get to their evening show.

I was OK on the older stuff but there was a lot of Broadway and new musical stuff which I didn't have a clue about. Would be nice if we could have another go.

I have the 10 remaining ones that I am happy to give away on the day, on a first-come basis, until they run out. All the more incentive to show up, and be early! NT/Southbank is fine with me, but I can get anywhere (Tube strikes permitting, of course).

National or Southbank perfect for me. Happy with either.

Shall we go Southbank centre then - as it’s a bit nearer the bridge over to embankment might make it marginally easier and quicker for people heading into west end? Unless anyone strongly objects BurlyBeaR could you possibly add the location to the title? Many thanks
