I have a question how was Jersey Boys the Film. I saw the musical and loved it. Loved the book by Rick too. It got mixed reviews so gave the film a miss

Another vote here from a fan of the film (I love the stage show too). I remember going to watch it at the cinema and coming out of the screening smiling. The cast are great - I believe 3 of the 4 leads had appeared in some version of the stage show and the one who hadn't was Vincent Piazza as Tommy, who was actually my favourite. It's been out for about 10 years so I'm sure it will be pretty cheap to buy on dvd or stream somewhere

I didn't think the Jersey Boys movie was that bad, although I did miss "Beggin" and "Fallen Angel".

I saw the West End production first which I adored, but upon watching the film I did feel that it was lacking the joy and fun of the show. For me, it was boring - which is probably the biggest sin a film musical can commit.
