What a legacy of music he has left us. Thanks Jim for being totally unique and giving us such epic tunes.

Very sad to hear about his passing. He gave me back my love for musical theatre with Bat out of Hell when I needed it most and his music will forever be close to my heart.

Never saw BOOH on stage, but I've always loved the album. Anyone remember "Original Sin" by the way?

Oh yes! Probably my favourite Steinman song! Always wanted them to integrate it into Bat somehow but alas no.

I got the email. So relieved as I was worried it would get cancelled. Need to sit tonight and work out if I have any clashes with anything else booked! Can’t wait to have this show back tho!

Same here. Had first booked for Wimbledon. Then for Liverpool. Now for Birmingham. Third time lucky?

I’ve just booked last date on the tour matinee and evening tickets and the rest of my prior bookings seem to be in my ATG account... except my 4 bookings for Wimbledon. Anyone else have the same issue?

ATG is surely one of the worst websites ever made? I keep trying to login to my account but once I log in it just takes me to a list of every performance they have on sale and I can't see any way of accessing my account details. I'm just trying to access my order history because I'm just lost with all of the date changes.

I’ve had to save every email I receive and made a list a few weeks ago just to keep track. It’s dreadful service really.

Don't know if they're doing it for all the venues but Manchester has a singalong night on the 16th Sept where they're encouraging dressing up in costume too.

It will be great to have this finally back doing the rounds in the UK in a few weeks. Planning on seeing it in Manchester and Liverpool. It’s a totally crazy show but absolutely brilliant night out with those classic songs and brilliant special effects. Happy times!

Opening today in Manchester- is anyone in?
We’re headed up next Saturday but keen to hear what the new cast is like 🙂

A few pictures and videos from this afternoon's performance already up on some sites. Looks like the set has been scaled back a bit, which was only to be expected as the last one wouldn't have toured easily I'm guessing. There's no blending of set between the stage and auditorium.

Heading home on the train from the matinee so brief notes (hate these tilty trains!!)
Yep, scaled back production, but still bags of fun. And each element that’s been shrunk a bit has had good solid replacements (except the bats, RIP weird tunnel bats). One or two story elements changed up too, for the better imo.
Cast very good!! Raven’s well cast, Strat is suitably unhinged when he needs to be. Some tweaks to roles - one of the three male characters most around Strat (I think Blake?) has been switched with Valkyrie, so she gets more lines and the second verse in Objects in the Rear View Mirror. Ensemble all phenomenal. Falco and Sloane as on it as they ever were - so glad they could get those two back for the tour.
They did us an encore of Good Girls go to Heaven and frankly I hope they do that every night, they were all clearly having a ball.

Looks like they've struggled with ticket sales for tonight. Just went to print off my ticket and noticed it wasn't the seat I had booked, so have gone online and they've taken all the gallery off sale. I've now been moved to a £45 seat with my £13 ticket

I’m due up this Saturday, but am hoping for some offers so I can go back up for another Saturday matinee towards the end of the Manchester run.

Well that was a fun evening. Still totally silly plot, there's been quite a few changes I think, since I saw one of the first previews in Manchester years ago. Great cast- I may have developed a little crush on Rob Fowler, even in his shiny pink briefs. A few of the effects have been scaled down, only to be expected with a touring version. I missed a bit of the action as I couldn't see the scenes inside Raven's room but that didn't matter as it was all on the huge video screen. Was all of Falco towers used as a screen before as it's used to pretty good effect now? Bit disappointed with Falco's costume change at the end- the pond has gone so they have to do it another way which is still pretty quick to be fair. I can't grumble though as my £13 seat was eventually upgraded to front stalls and there was a great atmosphere (not much mask wearing unfortunately)

Do the bats on wires still fly over the audience at the end?
