I see you followed me here gdelgi  But I really like reading your analysis why the show (probably) failed in the US and it's now unlikely to see the light of day again. However, I can't help wondering if they just weren't way too ambitious with such a big tour in large venues to begin with. Why not do it the same way as in the UK last year with short runs in Manchester and London to see if there's a demand and THEN plan further steps? I think another problem was that Bat wasn't part of the subscription packages in most venues (that would have guaranteed a certain amount of bums on seats) - once people had shelled out for subscriptions to 4-5 Broadway hit shows that are touring next season, they probably didn't have the money or interest left for another pricey tour. PS: FWIW for me it was also the Meat Loaf back catalogue that first lured me to Manchester. I was familiar with Jim Steinman because of That Other Musical which I detest and couldn't wait to hear those great rock songs done properly on a stage and wasn't disappointed. |

Lots of covers on: Barney Wilkinson as Strat Craig Ryder as Falco Christopher Cameron as Jagwire Eric Hallengren as Ladoux All good. I did think Barney seemed rather too young and cute to play Strat. I know the character is meant to be forever 18, but the life experience didn't quite come across. He did sing very well. I thought Craig Ryder didn't quite have the presence for Falco, but again he sang well. I really need to try and see this again. I really liked Barney and “young” lost boy but that meant there wasn’t that much difference between him and Tink. {Spoiler - click to view}
But I think Tink was too old for pre pubescent
and if the Ryder didn’t knock it out of the park vocally then I have to see other Falco |

Did last minute dayseats today, and took Young Dream for the second time (Little Dream fake-cried when I didn’t take them with us as I still think that at 5 they are too young). I asked for a booster cushion for Young as we were pool side and rocks were in the way, and they charged me £1! I’ve never known a theatre to charge for that sort of thing before and it seems really mean!

I asked for a booster cushion for Young as we were pool side and rocks were in the way, and they charged me £1! I’ve never known a theatre to charge for that sort of thing before and it seems really mean! My work charges £1 too as too many were taking the booster seats home with them at the end of the show. |

Not massively bothered if they charge or not, but they should deffo impose a height limit. Kids the size of a small adult don't need to be raised to a height where they block views!

You?” “Nah, I just got this cushion from the theatre opposite, s’nice though innit?” They're ones you blow up so they take the air out and put it in their bag, you'd be amazed how many people actually did it. |

A lovely cover - their voices go really well together. The concept of the album also sounds very interesting. I noticed in the video that they have used some of the professional clips from the trailer/clips from BOOH. The clips are so well done that it makes me wonder if they have filmed the whole show. Any thoughts? |

(They should've totally done Shallow). To me, it sounds like a fan made cover with a less than amateur production, not like something professionally recorded that will be included in an album. It's a shame because I loved them in the show.

It's a shame because I loved them in the show. Honestly, I agree with you. I LOVE Sharon & Rob but the arrangement here didn’t seem to suit them. It felt like they were oversinging in parts as well. I understand why they chose this song; lyrically it suits the story they’re trying to tell, but vocally they definitely would have been better suited to Shallow. |

I think she said she tends to draw down from her ring finger to represent the marriage that could've been and then follows the veins on her arms etc. Then she crosses everything out to show it's all over. |

I certainly don’t think it’s as deep as that at all. I think it’s more like she’s drawing his tattoos on her. I can’t imagine this show to have symbolism or cross referencing as deep as that. Haha. |

My guess would be some kind of eyeliner formula that will come off easily with the right wipe. All Raven's late act two changes are quick and the writing has to come off before the six months later section (when she's also getting changed), so it has to be.
