Curious about the next @sohoplace show after Red Pitch. Would love them to return to another classic play like Medea at some point [br I would love Till the Stars Come Down to go there!

Next show at the Trafalgar theatre is "the return of one of the best new plays of the century". Any ideas? The History Boys?

21st Century presumably, but it could be anything. Won't be Slave Play then, if it's "returning".

One of the shows I was looking forward to the most in 2024 was Dana H at the Royal Court, hopefully it may be in their upcoming season.

Theatre Royal Bath just announced a new production and tour of The History Boys, so unlikely it's that. I think it'll be a revival of One Man, Two Guvnors with James Corden returning, they were looking to stage it in 2024 in the West End so this would line-up perfectly with that.

It's possible, although the RC has said their new season will be "nine plays from writers making their Royal Court debuts." Lucas Hnath, who wrote Dana H, did a 4-show run there in 2013, so depends how pedantic they're being!

Next show at the Trafalgar theatre is "the return of one of the best new plays of the century". Any ideas? The History Boys? Could this be a transfer of the Hampstead's 'Rock'n'Roll'? They said it was one of their best selling shows ever.

Next show at the Trafalgar theatre is "the return of one of the best new plays of the century". Any ideas? The History Boys? I have an idea. Well, actually, I don't have an idea - I know what the play is. And it's even better news than it just being a revival of the play itself... As for James Corden, I was under the impression that he was about to be in a new play by a leading UK playwright in a major London venue that I think is scheduled for early summer - unless it has been shelved.

There is going to be a History Boys at Bath Theatre Royal, late August, directed by Sean Linnen. Sorry, I now see someone has already mentioned that!

The Trafalgar show seems to be quite exciting judging by these posts. Anyone any idea when it will be announced, as I'm trying to finalise my May and June trips this week but may need to factor this show in, if it's a good one!

It's not King Charles III having been rewritten as King William V, is it?

Intrigued by the Corden rumours! Just been told he has stepped off the project. Not sure why. But I imagine that the knock-on effect might be that the theatre might have to programme something else in that slot - unless they have found another actor of similar profile to step in for Corden.

I don’t know which to put this news, either here or at the NT thread, but Tobias Menzies will be starring in the NT revival of Antigone by the end of the year. He’s currently starring in the Off-Broadway transfer of Hunt (based on the Thomas Vinterberg film), which started life at the Almeida in 2019. After his show ends this month, he’ll be resuming filming the Formula One film with Brad Pitt which was interrupted by the SAG-AFTRA strike last summer, then perform Antigone at the National by late 2024. www.theatermania.com/news/the-crown-star-tobias-menzies-talks-about-his-role-in-david-farrs-chilling-play-the-hunt_1733608/
