Has anyone got tickets for Hannah Waddingham's Christmas show being recorded at the Coliseum later this month?

I don't.
If I recall rightly, I saw an email come though about this a little while back

I had an e mail confirming last night but it's all a bit faffy to be honest. You have to go along in the afternoon to the Coliseum, exchange your voucher for a ticket and with it being TV no guarantee you will get in Then come back again a couple of hours later for the recording which is showing as being about 4.5 hours. Dress code of smart/party wear and no hoodie, trackies or sweatshirts. So a long day and no guarantee you will get in. So I think I might say no.

Do you think Hannah will eventually be cast as Norma Desmond in the upcoming Sunset Boulevard revival? I’m not exactly sold on the rumors of Nicole Scherzinger floating here and on BroadwayWorld forum. (I grew up listening to Nicole and the Pussycat Dolls era though)
Catherine Zeta-Jones is another rumored name in the running. There’s even a suggestion of Olivia Colman. Sheridan Smith is in her early 40’s now, though she’s doing Shirley Valentine until early June. But Hannah would definitely be a selling point of the show and she’s more famous now in the mainstream.

I bet it was. Who were the guest performers? I had tickets but didn't go in the end as it involved queueing for Lor knows how long hoping you actually get a numbered ticket then having to come back later to enter the venue and it said the recording would be 4 hours. I knew it would be too much for me so decided not to go in the end.

We’ve been asked not to reveal the guests but there were expected and unexpected ones!
It was actually pretty smooth - I turned up around 12:30 and got my allocated ticket without any wait. Then went to the cinema for a couple of films until returning at 7pm, then there was a bit of a queue to get in while they took your phone and locked it in a pouch. Got seated about 7:30, it kicked off at 8. They had to redo most of the eight songs as well as some of the talking bits so it was very stop-start, such is the nature of TV recording! Left around 10:35 after getting my phone freed from the pouch on the way out!

I've done TV recordings which have been nearer to 3 hours.

It was only eight (shortish) songs total so don’t know if it’d be that long! Incredible performances though. I felt for her every time she was asked to redo!

I think I might have guessed a couple of the guest performers as 2 people I follow on Instagram have posted pictures from last night of them with Hannah and they weren't dressed as if they were going to the pub. 😀 Unfortunately I doubt I'll ever see the show as I don't subscribe to Disney+

The performers who duetted with her (three big names in their respective fields) haven’t put anything on social media as far as I’ve seen! There were a lot of West End people in the audience that she kept trying to say hi to off-camera though which was funny. As it was Apple TV the cast of her show were a bit of a given so I’m not including those in the duets.

Wonder when/if Hannah does a solo tour as her star has never been higher.

I wish she would do a musical soon. I couldn't catch her in A little night music and would love to see her acting and singing.

Christmas show in November, of course! It's in time for Thanksgiving weekend in the US which is commonly regarded as the start of "holiday season" over there - a lot of families get together for that weekend and not necessarily for Christmas so I assume that's the rationale for it being released that early, given it should be a good thing for multi-generational families to watch together.

Kings Cross on Monday, 8am (yesterday) - Christmas Tree.
I found my Spamalot programme yesterday with the lovely Hannah as Lady of the Lake. She was so good.

Part of the M and S advert has been withdrawn due to the colours on some burning party hats.
Just noticed Hannah has a listed part in the film version of The Fall Guy out next year.

Her agent is really working overtime. She’s in danger of over exposure I fear.
