This new Adam Guettel show has just started in New York at the Atlantic Theatre Company, with Kelli O'Hara and Brian d'Arcy James. Has anyone seen this or planning on doing so? I won't get to see this as in the UK, but very excited to hear about a new Guettel project. Demos from the show are on his website here: www.adamguettel.com/days-of-wine-and-rosesHere's hoping that it will get a future life on Broadway, and then we may get a cast recording, and also get to see it over here! So many projects of Adam's are announced, but very few seem to come to fruition. What ever happened to MILLIONS? Wasn't Sonia Friedman developing this?

I saw Adam Guettel performing at The Hippodrome a few years ago. He did a couple of songs from Millions, including an absolutely gorgeous, upbeat number sung by his guests ( one was Caroline Sheen, can’t remember who the male guest was). Ever since hearing that material, I’ve been keeping my ear to the ground about Millions but heard nothing, so I’d also like to know if it got completely shelved or is still a possibility.

I have only seen The light at the piazza and loved it. Hope this one and some of his previous shows will be produced in London.

Lots of positive comments if you read forward beginning with post #90 here: www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1155413&page=4General consensus seems to be there isn't a lot of commercial appeal, but Kelli O'Hara and Brian d'Arcy James are giving stellar and memorable performances in a show with heavy subject matter.

Does anyone know if this is having a future life, or at the very least a cast recording?

Thank you. That is very exciting about the cast album, and I can’t wait to hear a new Adam Guettel score.
It is a shame that there is no news of a transfer yet though.

Here's hoping it may end up in London at some point. Maybe at the Menier or Southwark Playhouse?

I found this much more like an opera than a musical. Found it difficult to engage, I wouldn't say it was a pleasant score to listen to and it really was Kelli O'Hara and Brian d'Arcy James which made this watchable. The plot is certainly unusual for a musical.

I enjoyed this show, seeing Kelli and Brian was amazing but dang it’s depressing and the score is so-so (it’s too samey!!) So glad I caught it though

I wanted to see this in the off-Broadway production but it was sold out. On Broadway there were loads of tickets but I passed every opportunity.
