Well, it happens to be that Karimloo is my least favourite Phantom. I like the melodies as written. Other than that, I am very curious about this production! |

Also announced a transfer to Milan in the Autumn Yes, that's interesting. It's the same new version that will play Madrid from autumn this year, and I was under the impression they would be using the same set. But as it opens in Madrid in September, obviously not. |

Definitely doesn't look as spectacular as I'd hoped. In fact it just looks weird.

If this happens, Broadway is doomed. This production is a cheap mess made by a horrible director.
But I don´t think it will. They don´t want a venue with a minimum musician number (yes, Broadway has that, thank goodness) higher than 14... for obvious reasons. The Majestic minimum is 18. Besides, Schubert Organization allegedly want to use it as a venue for large scale shows with celebrities (Hugh Jackman Music Man style).

The Carlotta outfit during Hannibal is actually disgusting. It borderlines makes me angry. All of the excuses we used for the Finnish costumes being so bad show it was clearly the creative choice RUG wanted.
The Italian production makes me angry that Earl is a manager and not Phantom. Ramin = overrated.

Just saw a video of the end of act 1. Hilarious.
Thing is, it could have worked quite well, but the lighting is off, so it comes across as looking really amateurish? With the right lighting, I can imagine it looking reasonably decent, if you're sitting front and centre of the stalls.
