With the closure of Only Fools and Horses at the Haymarket, I thought it would be good to create a single thread that can be used to speculate what shows might be going to different theatres.
In regards to the Haymarket, I would guess a play will do a summer run from May to August followed by either Hamnet or Tammy Faye in the Autumn.

Guessing it could be Hedwig or Time Travellers Wife.

Oh what a good thread, don't have anything to add to the next show on at the Haymarket though

I still live in hope that Bath's Into the Woods will go to the Haymarket although I know I should just let go....!

I've heard whispers about The Band's Visit transfer to The Ambassadors Theatre- maybe late summer/autumn of this year? I really hope it comes back since I missed out last year.

Brian Cox in Long Day's Journey is yet to be attached to a venue. Maybe the Haymarket although hopefully it will go to a better theatre.

@sohoplace, Haymarket and Phoenix free from end of April Apollo, Gielgud and Garrick free from end of May Ambassadors free from end of June Gap at Criterion currently mid April to end of August if Unfriend does not extend.
Obviously I’m sure most of these have shows pencilled in, and there’s plenty of rumours, but that’s 8 West End houses without shows currently on sale for the peak summer period.

We're only in early February so I expect we'll see theatres filled up in the next couple of months.

Does anyone have any breadcrumbs they could drop us? Even The Times the other week was saying this was the place for insider info, let's live up to it!

Again, we're only in February. I do think we need to stop worrying.

After last night's reception, Standing at the Sky's Edge will clearly be crossing the river and heading to the glittering West End. I'm being serious...for once.

A transfer is unlikely IMO only because it would need to be restaged and a lot of the bigger theatres that could hold it aren't available.

Could Dancing at Lughnasa get a West End season after the Olivier? The original production ran for nearly two years between the Phoenix and the Garrick.

Was the Old Vic production good? I loved the original Abbey one.

The only place that could hold Skys Edge at the moment is the Gillian Lynne and that's booked until early next year with Crazy For You

The Gielgud has a decent gap between Mockingbird closing and Old Friends opening, maybe The Piano Lesson will go there for a summer run or Long Day's Journey into Night?

Standing at Skys Edge for Phoenix? A Strange Loop for Apollo? Standing at the Sky's Edge would not fit into the Phoenix.
