Adam Pearce Stroke Recovery Fund www.gofundme.com/f/adam-pearce-stroke-recovery-fund?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_content=undefined&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_term=undefinedOn the 2nd December 2022, as he came off of stage after performing in Mandela the musical at The Young Vic, Adam had a bleed to the brain causing a Stroke. He was left paralysed on his left side and it was discovered that he had had a medium haemorrhage to the right lobar. In the early hours of the morning, Adam was admitted to Kings College Hospital and has been in hospital since. More on the link. Some good West End stars have been tweeting the link since yesterday. I think the first time I saw Adam Pearce was in Joseph (Lee Mead) playing one of the Brothers. Then saw him in Love Never Dies, which - don't shout me down - I loved after initially hating it after my first viewing. The link says The Young Vic are supporting Adam, and his family. And checking back it looks like Adam should have been Harry The Horse in The Bridge's Guys & Dolls before his stroke. Some big names sending £ on the GoFundMe. I hope Adam gets all the support he needs.

Thank you for this londonmzfitz I’ve seen Adam in a few things and he is fantastic. I think the last one I saw him in was as Max in the Curve tour of Sunset Boulevard, or maybe briefly at the OAT in Evita which was short affair for me because we got rained off! I also saw him in Les Mis in the WE a couple of times in different parts. Immensely talented. Good luck for a full recovery Adam xx

Adam had tweeted in November 2022 that he was going to be Harry The Horse in Guys & Dolls, adding "Lucky, lucky man". Just days before the stroke. That role been recast.
The GoFundMe is now £46,500 - update as of yesterday from Adam Yesterday by Team Pearce, Organiser AN UPDATE FROM ADAM:
Mind Blown (not another stroke) but I just can't believe it. Thank you so much for your kindness and your generosity over the past few days. When the page was launched and Molly told me what was raised in the first few hours, I started crying into my (awful) mushroom soup. Very overwhelming.

With Love Never Dies topping the Musicals Forum today, an update from Adam Pearce (Squelch in the original London performances) yesterday on his recovery from the stroke he had last year (aged 38). Tim Rice has shoved £500 in this morning ... £53,000! www.londontheatredirect.com/actor/adam-pearcewww.gofundme.com/f/adam-pearce-stroke-recovery-fund?viewupdates=1&rcid=r01-168505092217-10cbaddcfb4511ed&utm_medium=email&utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_email%2B1137-update-supporters-v5b>My progress has slowed down quite a bit, which is to be expected. It's all about motor skills, stamina and fine tuning now. I'm still walking (long or unknown) journeys with my foot lift brace. Lately on good days, I've been able to clock up over 14,000 steps throughout the day. It's so nice to be travelling into London and doing a number of things, including Auditions, coffee catch ups, going to hospital appointments and the start of Singing lessons all independently. Once again, a massive thank you to you for your donations. With this incredible amount I have been able to afford Physiotherapy Sessions, Occupational Therapy, Therapy equipment, Counselling, Travel expenses, Bills paid, singing lessons and helping my family and I live an as 'normal life' as possible at this moment in time. 6months ago, we didn't think that we would be able to make 'Happy Core Memories' which we have done which is wonderful.<

Adam posted this today:
After a few meetings and talks with the amazing team at Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, I have been given an incredible opportunity to return to work and from the end of September I will be going back into Les Miserables.
They approached us asking how my rehabilitation was going and if I'd be interested in an ensemble track and as the Bishop. It is an amazing opportunity but I needed to make sure I was going to be safe and ready for this as my mobility is still not 100% on my left side. Especially the organised chaos that goes on backstage with costume changes and props. But after some really thoughtful meetings with the casting team, Directors, Wardrobe and Wig departments and producers I really do feel that this is the right move.
Les Miserables have been so supportive already. After watching the show, I was able to go to them and explain any worries I could foresee and we've been able to talk through these. I am incredibly grateful that they are willing to make adaptations and adjustments to suit my current physical capabilities.
When I start Rehearsals in a few weeks I will still be continuing all the ongoing therapy I have been having so far and maybe even more. Repetition is key in Stroke recovery. It is so important to keep the basic moves and exercises going to gain strength and continue to grow.
Cameron Mackintosh should feel very proud of their inclusive environment. So far, they could not have done more to support me and make this a reality. I will be forever grateful for this first step back on stage.
See you on the Barricade.

I am absolutely delighted to hear this - it has made my day. Adam is an actor I respect hugely and for many years I have enjoyed his committed performances. This is a huge step forward - well done Adam!

A joy to see Adam back on stage tonight. I booked tickets specifically to see an actor I admire hugely. Well done on your comeback!
