The whole riff thing is interesting... I love a belter & an Elphie who can pin me to my seat with power - but that in my eyes is different to a riff. You can have the power and still sing to the score, thinking about it is probably why NDJ & Willemijn are some of my favourites! They're strong belters in the upper register but aren't as "flashy" as say a Jen Dinoi or Jackie Hughes - both the latter have power and play with the score which works for me. Then there are the Elphie's that don't have power and can't riff. Sadly London has had a few....... I kinda agree actually, like I don't think Rachel is that powerful, apart from a few notes like her team in TWAI, if she does "riff" I find her powerful on the notes she riffs, but not when she sings it to score, sorry 😂🙈 Not powerful? I know people have opinions about some things, but I'm pretty sure everyone would agree here, whether they like her or not, that Rachel's bet is incredibly powerful. I'd go as far as to say that she probably has one of the most powerful belts out of all of the UK Elphabas. I'm not sure whether you do this because you genuinely think this, or whether it's for attention. I'm beginning to think it's the latter...

I find it really difficult to understand the whole present giving thing at stage door. It just seems a bit too much in my opinion

HAHA! Don't worry, I'll make sure to scream the loudest Why would you feel the need to scream in the first place. You seem to be forgetting that this is a theatre not a concert. It's worth bearing in mind that some people here will just be regular theatregoers. Why ruin it for them just to make the point you're the biggest super fan or whatever. That's just incredibly selfish

Yet in the last few posts youve expressed excitement about next weekend and Rachels last. Back on topic now though. Im happy now im sorted for both shows next saturday and really looking forward to meeting some fellow theatreboard members Yeah because the only things i like about Rachel's Elphaba are her growls and riffs, and some parts of her acting and i know she's gonna riff and growl a lot on her last show! Cool.

I think I saw our infamous Emma/Alice fan lingering around stage door afterwards. Ah yes. He had his photo with Rachel and was saying on Instagram how amazing her riffing is, whilst saying on Twitter the opposite. Thought he wasn't going to bother going to anymore of Rachel's shows...

Has anyone of you ever sat on D40 in the stalls , way out on the left side? How restricted is the view there? I've sat a few rows back in G43 and the view was great. Slightly cuts off the left hand side of the stage, but there is nothing I can think of that I missed

What I have ensured I do though with my time of loving Wicked, is not to fall into this whole fanboy trap. And I am not trying to cause argumenets with certain people on this, truly. This is just my own personal feeling. But I never wanted to be one of those fans who goes just for the sake of going, or goes to say he has seen it more times than the other fans (even though I have nothing on some fans, who have seen it hundreds of times!). I am haply with going when I want to see it, when I fancy it. I don't feel the need to go for the sake of going or because thats what a fan is "supposed" to do because I think, going alot, in the long run, can actually ruin your enjoymenet of a show, any show. So since my Wicked year with Gina and Louise, I only go once or twice a year now, usually when the cast changes. Although, I like, in the gap between Jennifer DiNoia leaving and Rachel returning, I only went back once, just because I didn't have much interest or desire to go. And that was mainly because of the cast didn't really interest me. In hindsight, I wish I did go more because I did love Savannah alot, and really love Oliver's Fiyero. Also realised, the one time I did see this cast last August, that I really liked Daniel Hope's Boq! But at the same time, as we all know, Katie had been there sicne the beginning of time, Emma was, well, Emma, and the Ensemble wasn't really as strong as they had been previous years, but going back for Rachel's first, as many said that first night and since, it made this show ignite and become incredible again and gave it the re-charge it needed. And, since September, I have been back 3 times because of how much Rachel is a legend, and how incredible this cast is! It's the same for me really. I didn't go at all after Jenny because I wasn't massively interested in the cast. I would much rather spend my limited supply on money on going to see as many different things as possible as opposed to just one thing. I decided to see it again recently because of Rachel and I hope to see it again with Wilemijn, but after that, unless something pretty special happens, I'll probably leave it a while before I go back. I'll probably get my head ripped off for saying this, but compared to other shows, I'm not so much of a fan of the story in Wicked but I love the score

I've only seen it three times so got nothing on most of you guys! Listening to recordings of Willemijn's first run was what got me back into musical theatre and I was desperate to see her but never got the chance. First time I saw it was on the 8th Nov 2014 which was Jenny DiNoia's No-fly performance. Still one of the most incredible vocal performances of Defying Gravity I've heard. Saw it a couple of months later with Jenny again and then didn't see it again until a couple of weeks back with Rachel. I'd listened to audios of Rachel, but in the flesh she is absolutely incredible and I don't think I've ever experienced something like that before in a theatre. You've only seen the show three times and one of those was a No-Fly? Every Wicked fan girl hates you right now.... it's like a badge of honour that we all want to collect.... no-fly, witch-switch etc etc! Haha it was such a surreal experience to be honest. I can remember just sitting there and thinking "What?!" it took a minute or so for me to actually register that it was a no-fly. Weirdly, the two times I've been since, it's the only thing that goes through my mind in those few seconds before the lift goes up because I always want it to be a normal show when I take friends/family

We do need her back. I doubt they'll immediately bump her up to lead, but I can see her get the standby gig. I was actually expecting her to be the standby for this cast. She and McQueen auditioned for standby Elphaba, but they didn't get it clearly, Alice got it which I'm so happy about because I love Alice! Rumour has it, Alice is replacing Willemijn and Laura & McQueen are auditioning for standby again! Let's hope Laura gets it this time! Is this actually from a reliable source?

As myself (and many others) have been saying for absolute donkeys, I would love them to finally cast a brand-new-to-the-show never-played-the-role-before lead Elphaba. However, given that by the time Ms Verkaik leaves we'll be at almost 7.5 years, I'm not hopeful. I won't regurgitate the entire of Michael 's list, but there's some names on there who absolutely need to be painted green. Hell, I'll pop down to B&Q and grab the green Dulux myself if I have to... *COUGH* Rachel John*COUGH* Surely Louise Dearman would have been the last. Obviously she'd played Glinda but she was completely new to Elphaba

Nothing we don't know, but see the caption (Colin Anderson was a swing on tour with Cody). Sorry, had to link that within the text since it won't load on the board. It's an instagram link. Think it might be a private account as it comes up with page isn't available every time I click it

Quick question for those who booked on here on Monday from noon: did Ticketmaster put you in a queue, or did everyone get straight through? If they did put a queue in, was it at the "pick a month" page or later in the process? Asking as I'm doing some research. Thanks. After the pick a month page. I was only in a queue from the time that I opened the page 11:50 ish and immediately got taken out of the queue at 12

I know I will be attacked for this comment but I promise I am not trolling. I do not get the Willemijn obsession. I do not feel like she connects with the lyrics she is singing. Particularly at the end of Defying Gravity. Her "ahhh ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh" sounds very head voicey also. She can sing but something about her voice is displeasing to my ears. I think when she sings it more to score she is fantastic, but I am not a fan of her ahhhh aaahhhh ahh ahh ahhh ahhhh ahhh ahhhhh (if you know what I'm talking about XD). I don't feel it gives the whole battle cry feeling. I've never seen her live, but listening to the recordings of her first West End run was what got me back into musical theatre so I'm really hoping to see her this time round

I can't see there being many changes at the matinee, maybe a little underwhelming "is that it" speech at the end of the evening show. Apart from it being noisier due to the larger fanbase, I can't see it being they much different to Jenny DiNoia's last shows

I think the current understanding is that he-whose-name-I-may-not-mention leaves this Saturday and the rest in two weeks. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong person, Brian left last Saturday

Is the cast change definitely this Saturday then? I know the new cast are definitely in rehearsals, but they seem to be leaving it very late, even by their usual standards.

TELL US ABOUT THE FIFTH COVER MIDWIFE GOD DAMN IT! I need to know whether to make a start on her leaving scrapbook. Word on the street is that they are leaving as they cant take the pressure of the role. Are you allowed to tell us that info? Thought Wicked cast changes were covered by the official secrets act

Thanks dizzie. I do get all that but I am still wondering how they can demand a cc which may not be the one you used to buy the card with on attendance at the theatre. The cc you use as you say will prob be in little pieces in landfill. So if someone rolls along having bought all the tix kosher but has totally new cc s maybe even different banks, will they let him / her in? And what if you are a bankrupt then but have bought the tix now ( doom, people, doom) what if the banks fail? What it, what if? I know unlikely...well, till after Friday at 5pm our time, but the whole process is flawed imo. All you need to do is contact Ticketmaster with your new card details.

Ok, so a key but still my point is that cc not necessary for purchase confirmation. Honestly I'm not sure of this but I can't see how they can demand the cc you use to pay after it has expired anyway..maybe..when the purchase is done and dusted. If they don't let you in the cc company will have to give you the money back, no? So if they want a key, they should find a better way of doing this. I foresee loads of trouble. I struggle to think of any better way to do it.

I'd love to see David O'Reilly, I've heard great things about him. What's the low down on Cody. What are his BOM credentials? I've been trying to find a clip of him to suss him out. :-) I've found this. It's not much, but it's something at least: http://instagram.com/p/BHk1bEyjvSJ

Hasn't Nikki damaged her voice permanently during her run as Elphaba in the first UK tour? If so, it'd be a shame. I only ever saw her as Elphaba, in Lift and as Maureen in the Rent tour in 2012 (?) (the one where Kerry Ellis was miscast as Mimi). Indeed she did. She did a cabaret at the Battersea Barge before Christmas, which I believe was her first performance since leaving Wicked prematurely in summer 2014 From an interview with her I read a while back, I think it was a little more than vocal damage. A real shame www.thehappyperformer.com/2016/08/17/this-world-is-there-a-shelf-life-for-this-hob-jobby/

So now that Brian has left, do we know anymore about who is playing Cunningham? I should imagine, for this week at least, that it'll be David O'Reilly covering. I think a press release must be imminent given this is a major cast change

One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Keep clutching at those straws though, it's amusing. You will all see soon When healthcare is privatised And people will have to pay cash or receive no treatment But you can keep your eyes closed Most have been doing so This is ridiculous The NHS Is not Going anywhere Also, this thread is about Hamilton, not the NHS

I did it in 3 separate transactions, it only had 5 minutes once added to the basket i think. You were able to book in three separate transactions? I thought the code would expire once a purchase is complete? Unless I misunderstood? I've been wondering if I could book 4 single tickets for 4 different shows in one go but can't seem to find an answer anywhere Hamilton Twitter said you can but you would need to start over each time
