It is quite difficult to judge without knowing what Ruth Wilson actually said (although everybody here seems to know that without even being present…). I reckon from what others have written that it may have been a plea for women rights and against a worrying tendency to minimize misogynist declarations. Is it so traumatic to listen to that for five minutes? Anybody is entitled to his/her opinion about the march and Trump but I am sure nobody was held captive. Sincerely I don't remember all this outrage when the actors of "The pride" ended the show with placards with the words "To Russia With Love" (that was great in my opinion). Wasn't that political?

Does anyone know when the details for the 2017 season at the Young Vic will be announced? I find it quite odd that we are in January and they have just one show announced in each of the three spaces, when normally they present their seasons well in advance.
P.S. And what about the Almeida after Hamlet?

A new Simon Stephens in the Upstairs? I can't decide if that sounds like heaven or hell! Will probably book everything in the Downstairs then look into £10 Mondays if anything Upstairs gets good feedback. It's getting a bit pricey to just book the Upstairs in advance these days. I am doing the same. The prices for the Upstairs theatre are becoming prohibitive for advance booking. But the new season sounds very exciting.

So many of the positive reviews say how "moving" or even "deeply moving" this was. I simply don't agree. Obviously I can't dispute the personal responses of others, but to make such a claim as if it was a fact is wrong. So in your opinion when one could say that something is "moving"? When 100% of the audience cries? Of course saying that the show was 'moving' reflects a subjective response, and in this case it is mostly based on personal experiences and connections with people with cancer.

The interval is there. I went last night and I found the show excellent. It is not so common to have an ensemble where every singer stands out and at the same time blends seamlessly in the group. The second half is a real game changer, very moving, honest and brave. Bryony Kimmings was sitting not far from me and she looked very pleased. I definitely recommend the show!

For me the Salome sounds intriguing.... Should we start a book on whether Salome will be male, the "head" of John The Baptist may not be the anatomical part expected, and the whole thing has been moved to a pub on a social housing development near Nuneaton? Or am I being overly cynical? If you are curious, you can read a review of the production when it opened in the US (http://www.broadwayworld.com/washington-dc/article/BWW-Review-Stunning-and-Provocative-SALOME-at-the-Shakespeare-Theatre-Company-20151017). I haven't read it because I like to keep the surprise element there.

Really like the look of this at Southwark Playhouse for most of November. The cast of Carla Langley (Fan), Rona Morison (Maggie), Aden Gillett (The Father), Simon Gregor (Joshua) and Ellie Turner (Gretchen) was announced today. Anyone else on here going? I am going on the 3rd November.

I went to see this last night. Solid performances (Arinze' Kene has a beautiful singing voice!) and standing ovation at the end. A warning if you are sitting in the front row in the stalls: when you are getting to your front seats, be careful if you walk on the black platform that borders the stage. Yesterday three women fell in succession throwing their drinks all over other audience members.

Going to see it in its last week. BF really dreading it so I do hope it's quite spectacular. Any coup d'theatre? I'm all about the coups I don't want to give spoilers but it is a surely a play where words dominate over special effects. The set change between part One and Two has a surprise (at least for me) and there is a very original character in Part Three. The music is nice )

Has anyone seen it already? I went last night. It lasts around 2 h and 50 min and there is an interval after about one hour and fourty-five minutes (two parts before the interval and one after). I liked the central part and some performances are in general excellent (Nadine Marshall, Tom Bateman, John Stahl). I had quite high expectations knowing that the play had been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize so I was slightly underwhelmed by some wooden performances but the flow should improve since we are just in previews.

Yes, I found mine, but they're not as nicely laid out as they used to be. Hopefully www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/my-nt/history will take you to it, as long as you're logged in. You've got a choice between Forthcoming Events and Past Events. Thanks a lot. It is even better than before.

Does anyone know if in the new website one can see all his/her booked tickets? I liked that in the old website as it helped to remind me what I had bought but I could find any access to my pending tickets in the new website.

In the case of "Les blancs", at least in the first act, the revolve is used to show the same set from different angles and create a little more variety in defining the space where the various scenes take place.
