But is it a concert or fully staged?

Surely there must be word soon of a transfer for this?

That announcement on Children in Need was totally misleading then.

She does ad lib though. A mobile went off when I saw it and she looked straight at the person and said "Is that for me?"

If you go back to my review of the show (at the top of this page!), you'll find there's a lot about the show I liked, and I wanted bits of it to be better because it's got bags of potential so I don't know where you've come up with the idea that I'm anti-Witches TBF. I'm just trying to explain that this show is enormous (the NT themselves literally acknowledged they made a show that can only fit into Drury Lane) and the Gillian Lynne does not have the capability to house it... Something else is filling at least some of that 7 months to be announced shortly. I see a social media rumour that The Lehman Trilogy may be coming back to the Lynne. It's a good show but it's been done to death, if true.

Imelda was on Radio 4 Today around 8.30am this morning, talking about being put through to Jerry Herman.

The Witches is the new Into the Woods from Bath. Everyone wants it to transfer but it isn't going to, by the looks of it.

Does anyone actually know which musical is apparently going into the Pinter then? So we don't have to endure Shaun Tossell going 'no, not any of those' for days on end.

I didn't realise Sonia Friedman was connected to Starter for Ten?

The Pinter doesn't feel like the right place for this - somehow I can't think of that as a venue for a popular musical - and I rather hope that the creative team is taking the opportunity after Bristol to tweak the show: although it was good, i don't think it was quite good enough yet for the West End and I'd love it to be even better if/when it comes to London. Sunny Afternoon had a good run at the Pinter

Is this a record for the number of West End theatres that a single production has used? I would have to check but I recall Bill Kenwright's production of An Ideal Husband kept popping up in different houses a lot also. Not as many as this though.

Heathers. Probably, and starring Charlie Dimmock. Wouldn't surprise me after today's announcement.

Wonder what will take the Gielgud between September and November? I'll cry if that crock of sh*te 2:22 goes back there a third time.

Good instincts Rory, I think you have called this one more than once! Thanks Dave, but I think I called this wrong. I thought it would play the Gielgud!

Stacey Dooley as Jenny. Get ready for lots of sympathetic nodding . No worse than some of the other people who've done it Ffs! What a slap in the face to the Opening Night team to be replaced by Stacey Dooley. Has she even got an Equity card? I really hope after this run that this lame production disappears off the face of the earth.

The Hills of California finishes in Pinter on 15 June. Macbeth starts 01 October. What goes in there in-between? I wonder if it could be The Lover / The Collection from Bath. Claudie Blakly has suggested on Instagram that it's possibly transferring.

Looks like the West End transfer is being announced tomorrow at 10am to an ATG venue, so either the Duke of York's or the Harold Pinter. Do we know if Tennant is transferring with it? I couldn't imagine a transfer without him!

Opening Night is miles better than 2:22, far superior. And I will die on that hill!
I am however bemused by the suggestions on social media of casting Sheridan and Hadley in the new iteration of 2:22 (obviously he's done it previously).

I think what's happened here is exactly how I feel about the state of London theatre in general. New work like Opening Night that is (in my eyes) bold and fresh can't succeed and we have to endure rubbish like 2:22 and Heathers until the end of time. Totally this. I agree wholeheartedly. Opening Night closing early to be replaced by 2:22 really saddens me.

It is depressing when theatres have to constantly rely on stuff like Heathers and 2:22 for a filler. Nothing from Bath, Chichester or other regions?

Having now seen both 2:22 A Ghost Story and Opening Night, I know firmly which one I enjoyed more and would happily sit through again. A real shame ON is closing to make way for this tired old tale.

Could it go in to replace Opening Night? No because something else is going in and then Frank Skinner in August.
