I’m quite interested to know what your standard jobbing actor/ensemble member or musician on a tour is earning. I know it’s terribly nosey of me, but I often watch people on stage and think “I wonder how much he/she is getting for this”. I just think touring must be very gruelling and wonder what the compensation is like. I asked a similar question on the amnesty page a while back and someone kindly shared this... solt.co.uk/_resources/assets/attachment/full/0/491808.pdfSo looks like your standard ensemble member gets £694 a week before adding increments for understudy/dance captain etc.

I went for row M to be able to take everything in better! I realised when booking it must be at least 15 years since I’ve last seen the show in London so really looking forward to getting back to see it one more time!

Booking for June and in my price bracket I’ve got a choice of row A in the stalls or row M! What’s the stage like from the front? Any suggestions for which to go for @theatremonkey?

Two different sets of friends have seen Waitress this week, both are ‘musical’ and played in bands/orchestras in the past, but neither I’d say were hardcore musical fans to the point of some of the regulars here..
Both of them loved this and raved about wanting to see it again. Lots of positivity for the story and KMP in particular!
So if they’re the target audience for this - the ocassional trippers to London to see a show - then it’s done it’s job on them this week.

Is the Waitress page going to become the next Wicked page?! No, it won't last long enough to have multiple cast changes. Best reply ever.

Justin Beiber making his stage debut.Trying to show his acting ability before being cast as Fiyero in Wicked. Will be difficult covering his tatoos. Please don’t make jokes about that... after the last two rounds of Fieyro casting for tour and London it’s a joke to hear both soapie actors try to sing! *sorry back on topic now!

How do people still read this guy's tweets? I know people who like attention, but this is crazy. The guy is meant to be a theatre insider yet he only saw Wicked for the first time a few weeks ago... I mean, come on... 😉

Its The Theatre Cafe making the pies and if they’re the same as the Broadway ones they won’t actually be pies just the filling in a jar. I’m seeing the show tonight and just met Katharine when she arrived for the matinee, I needed my Smash CD to be signed by both her and Megan! I call pie-fraud. The northerners will be outraged!

I’m sure I signed up for early access and received an email today saying that early access is on sale 28 Feb and general sale 8 April, then it says further ticketing information coming soon. Has everyone else received the same or something different?! If it’s the “London looks good in blue” email for DEH, then I’ve probably had the same one as you this afternoon. Yep that’s the one! Hopefully there’s another on its way soon with pre-sale!

So assuming Lucie has actually posed for those photos and they’ve not done a Wicked, surely this means she’s either our next Jenna or is indeed taking over on Broadway... either way, top job for a fellow Welshie!
But......... if the marketing campaign has gone that wrong, to the point that they’ve actually printed posters for the bins (trash cans!) using the wrong actress then someone is getting fired!

Tom Hargreaves plays Fiyero for the hundredth time today. As a cover that's pretty impressive. Is David Witts ever on? Maybe we were spoilt with Bradley who never seemed to be off, but I can’t remember a time when a Fieyro understudy has been on this much!

A 16 year old glee club champion...possibly the most well known young amateur musical performer in the country...but yeah, we’ll go with ‘unknown’!! 😂 Happy to sit corrected I didn’t know that!

It would be such a great story if they discover a new talent from the open auditions, look at what happened on Broadway! A 16 year old debuting as Evan! Wow!

When they made the announcements about extra cast I thought they’d be new swings so would eventually end up with the three of them covering all six roles.
The alternate approach means you could have a situation where two of the queens are off and the alternate is on and can’t cover two parts, although I guess Grace would then go on as she knows all the parts?
Just feels odd from a usual cover approach where the roles don’t really require an alternate given the style of the show so wonder why they’re limiting the new cast to two queens each?!

I just googled Ms Ryan Ryder aka Craig Chalmers. Boy did I get an eye full...his wife is one luck lady I am very confused. 'Craig Chalmers' gives me a scary rugby bloke, and then someone who was on ADWD but looks like Michael Fabricant. HELP. Search for his alter ego Ryan Ryder....

Opening night! I'm very jealous of anyone who's going to be there! 😭😭
I've watched this for ages, and I still can't recognise the two front left and centre. Are they the new people?
The lady front left is Maiya Quansah-Breed I think who plays Catherine Parr and the lady front right is super swing Grace Mouat!

Going back a few pages I’ve read through the thread now and these two really jump out at me!
I never got to see Bat but Danielle’s no nonsense approach would be very welcomed at Wicked. Tour and London!

Manchester was poor with at least two friends who went to stage door after the show to meet cast for the first time, only for the cast to be held by other fans who then quickly left meaning friends missed out.
Yes you’re a fan of the show, yes you’re friends with the cast, yes you’re nearly as close to them as their agent, but geez... if you’ve been to stage door for a photo in the last 7 days let someone else get a look-in before you hog the cast’s time!

The fans today are just as bad as then. Why some think it is OK to hang around the stage door before the show, between the shows on two show days and after the show what seems like every single day I will never know. I'd be embarrassed asking my tenth selfie of the week. I'm sure the company appreciate people buying the tickets, but some of the rest of it? Not so much. Who wouldn't get fed up of making small talk outside work three times a day, every day, with the same people. This 100%! What on Earth is there to possibly say when you stop for your 6th selfie of the week???
