For those of us still holding out, it's showing up in the BBC's Week 31 press pack, date and time to be confirmed but should be one day week commencing Monday 29th July.

I saw this Thursday night and enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Second act was stronger storywise but the first act probably has the better known songs (excepting the megamix at the very end). There were some occasional dodgy vocals going on to my untrained ear from some of the cast. Madalena Alberto was pure class, shame she's not in it a bit more. Special mention for the shorts early in act one!

Anyone know any more about the BBC scheduling for this? Based on how long it took them to get around to showing both Feud and Pose, I wouldn't expect this anytime soon unfortunately.

The Snatch Game is always a cringe episode for me, and this season even more so. I thought Nina should have won but that may have been more due to the fact that I've heard of Harvey.
And Silkie continues to plumb new depths of vileness, I'm struggling to see what the difference was between Yvie's comment to her last week on Untucked and her comment to Brooke on this week's - the only one I can see is that last week Silkie wasn't potentially going to be lip synching imminently, so in my book her comment was worse than Yvie's. The sooner she goes, the better.

Well I was a fan of series 1 and 2, but this latest series (I'm watching at More4 pace) isn't working for me at the moment. Am probably going to persevere for another episode or two in the hope it'll improve.

Hmm, I'm not sold based on that first episode - cliched story, questionable acting and 75 minutes felt too long. I'm not going to be endeared to a bunch of characters who choose to desecrate a museum in the first ten minutes. I'll probably give it another episode or two but if I'm not sold by then, I'm out. For people who have seen the whole season, does it get better?

Enjoyed the first episode, thought the right person won and the bottom two and eventual 1st leaver were the right choice too, which for this show is not always the case. I always find the first few episodes difficult to pick out a favourite (except Season 6 of course), there's just too many contestants to get much airtime for each. As others have said, Silky was just plain annoying and I can't wait to see the back of him if that's going to be what he's constantly like. There are rumours of unprofessionalism and sexual harassment on Twitter, take with a pinch of salt but the way he was with Miley Cyrus was uncomfortable.
I'm in two minds about Miss Vanjie, I don't dislike him but really struggle to understand half of what he says, his diction is appalling.

Absolutely loved Smash and was gutted it was cancelled as it seemed to be getting better and better. I ordered the Bombshell album immediately after watching the first episode and hearing Let Me Be Your Star, some great music throughout both seasons. Did Brian D'Arcy James ever sing anything in it? I don't seem to remember him getting a number.

I too am in the slightly duller part of Michelle Obama’s book. Despite half a degree in American politics it’s not really as engaging as the first part...but that’s a sliding scale as it’s still well written. My Mother keeps trying to foist Lee Child novels on me...what say you Theatre book lovers? Worth a punt? Also off the back of a conversation here I got and read “Thames Doesn’t Rhyme with James” by YA novelist Paula Danzinger the sequel to Remember me to Harold Square Which is one of my all time favourite books. And I was like a pig in mud reading it! I've read about 10 Lee Child novels, they're worth a go, easy to read but wouldn't recommend reading too many of them back to back as they're a bit too similar I've found. If you're looking for the book equivalent of an 80s' Schwarzenegger film, you can do a lot worse than this, but if you're looking for something a bit more believable and weighty then they're probably not for you. I've just finished Jasper Fforde's Early Riser, I normally love his stuff but wasn't so keen on this one, I've now moved onto Steinbeck's Cannery Row.

Watching Extra Slice for the first time this year. Why is Jo Brand presenting this? She seems to be totally incapable of doing anything that’s not written down on a cue card. I thought she was a stand up comedian? Really really terrible. I'm glad I'm not the only one to think that! I love Jo Brand, but she's totally wrong for presenting this sort of show. When you're telling someone how great a contestant they've been and how much you've enjoyed watching them, it hardly seems genuine when you're clearly just reading those words off a card and not looking at them as you say it!

I was there too! As you say the first 15 minutes were incredible - I thought the stage manager was a part of the show at first! Did you catch what we are supposed to do about tickets? Didn't want to go annoy the poor box office people who looked highly stressed! I was there too, apparently the stage was too slippery to continue! We were told we'd receive an automatic refund. Shame because the first 15 minutes were good fun. And I was there too along with two friends! Disappointed to have had a wasted trip to London, but these things happen. Not sure that the three of us will be able to coincide diaries to get a free date before the end of the run so one or all of us may miss seeing it now. Not sure how the rest of the run has sold, the cancelled performance was sold out according to the board outside.

I'm going and really looking forward to it. I'm going too - a group of 14 of us actually so that will be the fun bit for me. That and the fact we've taken the drinks package. I'm a tad scared at how geeky it's going to be but ho hum, it's my 45th or so cruise so I know the score. It's nothing like people think it is - and the ones I choose are not expensive either. I've just had 8 nights on a Cunard one for £522. See you there! I'm booked too! Possibly against my better judgement as I'm going on my own, but I had no other holidays planned this year so decided to throw caution to the wind. If either of you see someone sat on their own at the bar, please say hi, it may well be me!

So instead They should print too many and lose money. That would ve ridiculous. it was only for a limited run. I'm impressed they lasted till the end of the run. Not having programmes available from mid August until 1st September is poor. Interesting - they had them for sale when I saw the matinee on 29th August, maybe they had some more printed up and they've since all sold out too. I went into this show having avoided as much information as possible and I loved it, definitely one that has stayed with me over the past few days.

I've only really got more heavily into musical theatre over the past 6/7 years, so a lot of the flops before that I'd never realised were on at the time (and have barely heard of most of them now). Of the others, I've seen and enjoyed From Here to Eternity, Stephen Ward (I realise I may be the only person who did), Made in Dagenham and The Girls. Viva Forever was a mess but I didn't hate it and Mrs Henderson Presents was just a bit bland.
One not listed, not sure if it can be classed as a flop or not, is Rent Remixed, probably the worst thing I've seen in the West End, although it did have Luke Evans in it so every cloud...

Seems I'm destined not to see this, missed it at the Charing Cross and was hoping to catch it today in Bromley but ended up getting a ticket for Heathers matinee instead and the trains to Brighton have bus replacements this evening, and really couldn't bring myself to endure that so went to see Red instead. Fingers crossed it either gets revived in the near future or finds a home in London post tour.

Saw the matinee today of this, full house from the looks of it, mostly teenage girls which wasn't a surprise having read previous posts here. They seemed to enjoy it a lot more than I did, screaming and clapping after every song (but mostly well behaved in between). That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, a few good songs, good performances and made me chuckle a few times but, as others have said, tonally all over the place, I've never seen the film so have no idea how it compares. Didn't have the best seat, in A25, had quite a lot of looking at the back of people's heads, and that may have hampered my enjoyment a tad, but was afforded a very good view of the disrobed gents, I didn't know where to look Struggled to hear words some times, a lot in group numbers, and also noticeably from T'Shan, not sure if that was acoustics where I was sat, mic levels or vocal register, or a mix of all three. So, glad I've seen it but not one I'm fussed about catching again.

if anyone wants to see this at TOP before its transfer there are some seats available for tomorrow and next week on their website, including a couple pairs of £29 seats! Thank you for the heads up, I was thinking I'd have to wait for the transfer before seeing it but seeing as I've got a week off next week and not much planeed and there was one one ticket left for next Thursday's matinee it seemed to be fate. I'm going to be in A25 so good to hear up thread that it's not too restricted a view, am hoping I will be suitably out of the firing line when it comes to the picking on a middle aged man in the front row!

I don't know what to think about this season, it all feels a bit flat. There have been no real standouts and now we're down to the last four, I'm more hoping for one person not to win than hoping one person does.

Who are the people in your profile pic? Is it French and Saunders with someone? F&S with Tina Turner. I know you didn't ask me the question but thought I'd answer anyway!

After being somewhat forced by choreography to inspect Ms Nicole's rump for prolonged periods, I kinda gave up with wondering, too, and just went with the flow. It was a pretty impressive rump to inspect! And that's coming from a gay man. Interestingly that costume is much more revealing than the version she's sporting in the programme. Maybe someone wanted to even things up with something for the hetero men and lesbians, seeing as the hetero women and gay boys had Mr Judge's splendid chest to ogle.

Well Thorgy was the weakest so deserved to go, but he was somewhat hamstrung by being given Stevie Nicks. I would rather that there was a mini-challenge and the queens either chose for each other or for themselves who they got.
Not getting the love for Bebe, her Diana Ross was good but the runway look was dull so I don't think she deserved to be in the top 3.
I really like Milk, Chi Chi and Trixie but they're not exactly setting the competition alight so probably won't be around much longer. Ben for the win.

So glad to have this back! I think the right two were in the bottom and top but was surprised who was voted off, really liked Chi Chi in her season so am not sorry to have her stay. Can understand the reasoning why Ben voted the way he did, and may well have been tempted to make the same choice had I been in that position. I was getting a bit tired of everyone doing the "I'm going to lip synch and dance to my own track" routine, so glad that Ben, Thorgy and Trixie added some variety. That lip synch was one of the best.

Just to add my voice to having seen and loved this. Josie Walker absolutely smashed He's My Boy, raw emotion and a thoroughly deserved rapturous reception, I loved the whole cast but that was the stand out for me.
For anyone like me who are tempted by the concept album, whilst waiting for the cast recording, you may want to know that most songs are sung by Dan Gillespie Sells apart from If I Met Myself Again and He's My Boy (sung by Josie Walker), My Man Your Boy (John McCrea & Josie Walker) and Work of Art (Sophie Ellis-Bextor), Betty Boo pops up doing the rap on And You Don't Even Know It too.

For anybody who may be interested, the Dorling Kindersley Musicals: Definitive Illustrated Story is on sale in some branches of The Works for just £5 (currently on Amazon for just over £20). If you happen to be near Witham in Essex they had 2 copies when I was in there earlier this week.

I'm nervous and excited about this announcement, I'd like quite a bold choice for the new Doctor (Miriam Margolyes would be a hoot but would never happen) but I'm not sure a new incoming showrunner would risk it. Roll on Sunday!

Wow, they really saved all the confrontation this season for that one episode didn't they! Apart from Eureka, they'd all seemed to get on and been supportive of each other most of the time. Glad that they called Charlie and Valentina out on their lip synchs, still don't understand why Valentina didn't know any lyrics having hand written them all out.
Still can't call who is going to win, apart from Peppermint I think it's wide open but, based on consistency, I think it's probably Shea. Looking forward to the lip synch in the finale...!
