I'm not very impressed with the above season. Are they trying to play things as safe as possible. Here is what the season consists of Queen Margaret Death Of A Salesman(Don Warrington) Mothet Courage & Her Children The Mysteries The Producers

Will most probably catch the following
- Queen Margaret
- Death of a Salesman
- Mother Courage and her Children
Relatively safe plays, Queen Margaret is an interesting choice, not sure how many Henry VI fans there are and her role in Richard III is primarily cursing and skulking, it will be good to catch up with Willy Loman again.

I was going to say there's LOADS of Henry VI fans, but I think that says more about my friends than about Shakespeare fandom generally.
Can't believe you all buried the lede that Jade Anouka will be playing Margaret though, I thought we were a theatre discussion site...

The casting of Jade Anouka is what piques my interest along with obviously being a fan of Henry VI, coincidentally will be seeing Jade in The Phlebotomist at Hampstead tomorrow afternoon.

The Queen Margaret plays sounds interesting and i might get a cheaper ticket for Salesmen but think i will pass on the rest.

Just had a quick look at the new season. Definitely going to get tickets for Queen Margaret and Death of a Salesman but will probably pass on the rest I think.

The idea of The Mysteries by Chris Thorpe and Sam Pritchard also looks intriguing, with a clear reference to the medieval plays but, in actuality, a contemporary cycle. This looks like one of those announcements that looks safe on the surface but how and, with whom, it's done will make a world of difference.
