Oliver Tompsett is very tempting. I've not seen this new production yet and was going to wait for the tour but may have changed my mind now!

Sam Spiro was who I honestly thought they should have cast at Chichester! So glad she's going to do it!!!
And Oli, who I love. Never seen a Fiyero like him.............................

Samantha Spiro will be a much better Adelaide then Sophie Thompsons knock kneed cartoon portrayal. Might be tempted to see the show again now.

Wishing I hasn't wasted my money on the show at the Savoy, I mean Sam and Olly, that definitely needs to be seen.

I'm not sure this will ever be a favourite musical of mine but there's no doubt the current production will be eminently more watchable minus Sophie Thompson's portrayal of Adelaide for whom it's almost impossible to feel any empathy with, or sympathy for, when she's being presented as such a caricature on stage.

I agree, feels like it will be a much better cast.

I can't think of another case where the replacement cast is SO much more appealing than the originals.

Too true.
Sam Spiro is brilliant casting and that alone will get me back to see it, even though I didn't like the production at all.

How irritating. I'm not a massive fan of G&D really, and I was expecting a weak transfer, but I must admit they've pulled out an impressive looking cast. Can't guarantee I'll return again, but I did see the Savoy production from the gods, so finances depending I may give it another go with a better view at the Phoenix.

I am going to go again. Love Samantha Spiro. She will be perfect. Anyone been watching her playing Angela Merkel's sidekick in the Tracey Ullman Show? Brilliant

Wondering if I should go and see this again... I wasn't particularly enamoured with it at the Savoy (except for Jamie Parker's performance) but the new cast sounds like it might actually be worth seeing!

OMGosh. I adored Sophie Thompson as Miss Adelaide but I am completely and utterly in love with Samantha Spiro so I will absolutely be elbowing my way through to see this one again.

I went in early Jan. I really didn't like it. I adore the show but this production felt really weak and flat. The audience was pretty empty which didn't help. The whole show just dragged for me.
I did get a £10 ticket in the gods and after asking politely at the box office I was upgraded to dress circle. So not all bad.

Richard Fleeshman has finally prompted me to book this. I'm pretty sure Louise Dearman was Sarah last time I saw it.

Hmph just seen that Dearman is only doing a few venues and none I can get to. Well that sucks. They best replace her with someone suitably brilliant.

Look I'm sorry but how are you supposed to enjoy the tour version of this show when Richard Fleeshman is going to be covered up in a suit? For. The. Entire. Show. It's outrageous. I hope they've reduced the prices to take this into account.

I feel the same way having seen the West End cast on the pre-London run in Manchester! The Liverpool cast is very impressive. Maybe it's time to give this show a second chance.

Great cast for the UK tour, but am so annoyed that Louise Dearman is not doing any venues in the south.

I saw Louise as Sarah on the last tour (I was 10?) - be an excuse for a weekend away to see her play Adelaide!

I really Like Louise but Samantha Spiro is a much more exciting proposition in that role I think.
