www.thestage.co.uk/news/diana-vickers-to-star-in-gwyneth-paltrow-ski-crash-musical-choreographed-by-arlene-phillips"I Wish You Well, a musical based on Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash and the subsequent legal battle, is set to have its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer with Diana Vickers as Paltrow. Vickers will helm the production, which will feature choreography by recent Olivier award-winner Arlene Phillips, and is produced by Heathers producer Paul Taylor-Mills. It will be directed by Shiv Rabheru, currently the resident director of Hamilton at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, who said the musical’s aim was to "feed" audiences’ "fascination with celebrity and crime". Original musical numbers including "I’m Gwynnocent" have been written by Rick Pearson, with book and additional lyrics by Roger Dipper and musical direction by Debbi Clark. I Wish You Well follows in the footsteps of Gwyneth Goes Skiing, a two-hander that ran at London’s Pleasance Theatre earlier this year and heads to Edinburgh’s Pleasance Courtyard this summer." Two new works based on Gwyneth Paltrow's skiing accident. Has the well of inspiration really run this dry? Have our AI overlords taken over the creation of theatre already?
