Wasn’t he just a perfect Nick Arnstein? Beautiful.
Such a shock.

This is just awful. He had become quite the dashing leading man. RIP

I've just read about this and totally shocked. You couldn't meet a nicer guy. I remember him fondly from Funny Girl at the Menier when I was working there. He used to come over and chat every evening and always offered me a green tea which he used to make during the show. A couple of friends were there one afternoon and were talking about him after the show. I went backstage and asked Darius if he would meet them and he immediately obliged and made their day. Such a loss of great talent and a lovely man.

I was just looking at my Funny Girl poster on the wall and only noticed for the first time Darius has signed with "Alec you're the best". That's made me even sadder.

How awful.
In his first scene in Funny Girl when he walked out in his dinner suit the audience audibly gasped. He looked incredibly dashing and gorgeous. And his performance didn’t disappoint either.
RIP Darius.

Such sad and shocking news, an incredibly talented and by all accounts humble and kind man. Like others was extremely impressed with his performance in Funny Girl, an unforgettable singing and speaking voice and charisma you could see from space

Yes so shocking, remember him from the beginning with his popstars and popidol. Met him at the Menier after Funny Girl and like others have to say how lovely he was, polite and charming. Such a sad loss. R.I.P.

I didn't know who he was when, while strolling in Covent Garden, a woman stopped me and my friend and offered free tickets to see Gone with the Wind- we weren't theatre people back then and had no idea what it was and who was in it. It was apparently the last performance and they were trying to get a full house. I was up in the circle. I remember not enjoying the show that much, it was very very long. But I do remember that he was one of the few good things about it. I had no idea he was so young. RIP indeed.
