Hi All,
New to the board and have loved reading all your comments as I plan out an upcoming trip. I have tickets to Roger Daltrey at the Palladium - ticketed time is 7 pm. If this were at a venue closer to home I would assume this would mean the concert itself would begin closer to 9:00 pm but given the venue and its location is this a safe assumption? Thanks for any intel/advice!

I’d definitely be assuming the start time is 7pm

Yes I agree. 7pm would be start time, don't know if there is a support act for this one. Palladium also has restrictions on the closure time so they don't have late concerts or shows.

Thanks all! I thought I was remembering something about local restrictions on end time and that's now been confirmed. Will be there, and on time.

Well well! The LW website updated to confirm that it is indeed a 9 pm start time for the main act with support from 8. I'm glad they did so I could update my arrival time, and I thank you for your suggestions!

When it comes to concerts, the time on the tickets is when the doors are (supposed to) open: I saw Interpol at Hackney Church last night, the advertised time was 7, what with the shambles of trains not running to Hackney due to ‘hot weather’ I didn’t get there until twenty to 8, and then had to stand for 50 minutes in what seemed like a microwave before they came on stage: I hope no-one keeled over in that heat but organisers need to be more up front about these things, especially in hot weather in places without air conditioning.
Certain bands (here’s looking at you Guns N Roses) go out of their way to keep an audience waiting far beyond what is acceptable for a show to start.

I agree! I have to imagine the late starters get some of the bar cut, although I know they don't. It's on the venues. Oh well, in a pub not associated with the venue and will spend my money at the venue only once the show starts. Sorry for your standing in a microwave, at least this is reserved seating!
