Sheridan played the role at 29 and Courtney is 27 so CHF appraching 30 is same ballpark. But I get the age joke although if this cast was in Logan's run they would probably worry more about gender neutral portaloos Of all the complaints, praise and inbetween in any thread, we need more Logan's Run references! Interesting musicals link to Logan's Run the TV spin off starred Heather Menzies from the Sound of Music and of course the origibnal film had Michael York of Cabaret fame in the title role.
Logan's Run could be the sort of thing that could be updated and turned into some sort of highly Camp spoof musical. Imagine throwing all the different genders in there and the computer blowing up

Basically for anyone wondering what Logan’s Run is.
It’s a Sci-fi book/tv programme the story of which
when you reach age 30 the person goes to die within a public ritual called Carousel. In this ritual, participants are flown into the air and repeatedly get shot one by one and burst into flames. They don’t know this till they get there. It’s supposed to lead to uptopia and reincarnation. They lied. After 30 you are no longer useful to society 😂

They changed the age to fit the ages of the actors playing the role in the movie. Also the way this society began was over population, lack of food and war/terrorism. The younger generation who were told to 'moderate themselves' revolted-took over the world and executed everybody over the age of 21. As I recall the by the year  ?, the 'world was young' |

Does anyone have a list of the lyric changes? There were quite a few throughout - most relating to the changes in terms of technological advances (for example, Elle emails her CV so the "It's scented" line has changed, but I can't recall what to.) Callahan no longer sings "and he can get you high and laid" during Blood in the Water, which I see as the biggest problem. The programme references Weinstein, but isn't the whole point similar? Callahan uses his position of power to take advantage of young women... I don't get why they changed it - it surely actually goes AGAINST what they were trying to achieve? For anyone making a point about someone's age whilst performing a role, please quote Logan's Run properly. The corrected age to go to Carousel/murder is 21-not 29/30. Also the reasons why this happens is because the world was over populated and had food shortages and there was a war. The young were told to moderate themselves and they rebelled. They took over the world and executed everyone over the age of 21.
When one of the 'leaders' of this new world reach 21, he cut his wrists open in front of everyone to prove he/they were right and jugsful leaders of this new world.

I'd have to read the book, I never knew the age was changed but Michael York would have been the oldest under 21 until Stockard Channing did Grease a year or so later. Jenny Agutter was only about 23 when the film was made so wasn't an issue as much.
