The composing giant Leslie Bricusse has left us aged 90.

Pickwick, Scrooge, Stop the world....., Victor/Victoria and so many more. May he rest in peace.

A towering force in British musical theatre, film musicals and songwriting, not least the amazing songs from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, including Pure Imagination. For some reason he is largely forgotten these days. I would love his innovative, unusual musicals written with Anthony Newley to be revived. RIP, Mr Bricusse.
