For to sorry for Emma yesterday evening. I hope she makes a full recovery. She is an excellent tennis player with many years ahead of her

I hope she makes a full recovery. Yes it was such a pity, though I am sure she will have many years ahead. She has a good team around her, including her coach Andy Murray's father in law!

I agree, such a shame for Emma and hope she feels better soon. The BBC Sport website have just posted a nice little video of an interview she’s done today with Sue Barker.

Turning on the TV I thought Federer had died the way the BBC were doing obituaries of his career. They've been desperate to sensationalise the slightest thing and even presenters I normally like have been quite bad, never mind the always abominable Inverdale, Castle, Becker and Henman.

A nice bit of off Broadway success for Emma Raducana
The first major is always the hardest, so being 18 and very level headed, this will be the first of many.

Brilliant match. She’s like a breath of fresh air. I see many more titles to come. Well done Emma 🥳

She must be nailed on for Sports Personality of the Year

She must be nailed on for Sports Personality of the Year Which would usually be unthinkable given it is an Olympic year, but I agree. She has to win it. Stunning performance over 10(!) matches, never even being taken to a tiebreak let alone a deciding set! Well done Emma Raducanu. She'll be the world number 23 on Monday. Before Wimbledon she was 350...

There's been a lot of amazing fairytale stories in British sport over the years but this surely has to be at the top. It's just extraordinary. She has to win Sports Personality no doubt.

Yes a superb performance on every level. Was so glad to be able to see it on Channel 4 as don't have amazon prime. It was the perfect ending to a lovely day with family celebrating my parents Diamond Wedding anniversary. Just managed to get back from Liverpool in time.

As much as 1/7 on if you fancy a bet for sports personality Trouble is she is up against Tom Daley and his own great story this year and he has huge support built up over years, but i imagine it's going to between those two.

Going to be some good years ahead for Womens tennis with Raducanu and Fernandez. A really high quality game of tennis. I love how early they both take the ball

Happy 100th birthday to Centre Court 😊
This is the final year that the wonderful Sue Barker will be presenting at Wimbledon - she’ll be a huge miss.
It’s been great to see so many British players involved this year across all of the draws and fingers crossed for Cameron Norrie, into his first quarter final.

Very selfish of young Cameron to be playing while the Government was collapsing!

Some brilliant quarter final matches in the last couple of days. Norrie was great coming through such a long match and lovely to see how much it meant to him in the interview after the match (the on court interviews have been a welcome addition to the tournament). He's had a really good few years coming up the rankings but has flown a bit under the radar with Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray dominating the British player headlines. Another dramatic 5 setter with Nadal today too. I'm looking forward to the semi finals!

I’m looking forward to Norrie playing Djokovic. It’s his first semi final in a grand slam and anything could happen. I’m obviously hoping for a Norrie win.
Nadal did very well to win today which I wasn’t really expecting him to do in a very tense match as he suffered with injury about half way through. Being the great sportsman that he is he showed his resilience and pulled off a great victory.
