How about we start a daily project where members can post marquees for one particular theatre each day. I know we all love a good Front of House photo! Let's start with the PRINCE EDWARD. Mary Poppins:

I do miss creative FOH displays, many shows now rely on flat digital screens

Shoot me now but I find most of them quite uninspired but Rain I like. I think Into the woods at the Phonenix Theatre had a giant cuckoo clock but my half assesed image search revealed nothing

The Palace has the best marquees. Remember the giant foot that was there for a while?

*not West end* The Martin Beck Theatr, NY where Into the woods premiered. I don't like it. Looks tackey and I think sets the wrong tone

I think the Shaftesbury offers some of great marquees: The FHTE sign is one of my favourites.

I miss the curved marquees that the theatre's had - The Prince of Wales was fabulous with the big vertical marquee and the Strand had one too. The Shaftesbury always looks very colourful. In the 80s the neon showgirl for Follies was very spectacular at night.
