Was just wondering if anyone has booked for VIP tickets to see Beverley Knight at the palladium on 25 May.
Been waiting for the email to see what time VIP ticket holders need to be at the theatre for, to be in on the sound check and meet Beverley etc.
As it's now less than 3 weeks away, I think its strange that I nothing has been confirmed yet.

Hi, Just made an account to tell you this as I wasn't sure if you're aware. I emailed a couple of weeks ago and they told us they would know a time for the sound check nearer the time. Emailed again a couple of days ago and they told us that there won't be a sound check. This if for the London date. I hope this helps.

My friend booked the extra VIP and soundcheck for another location and also got an email saying the soundcheck was no longer available as it was an admin error or something!
Also I am going to the palladium, but just regular ticket, no vip for me, but very much looking forward to it

Regular. Not VIP. I wonder if she will sing any showtunes or just focus on Soulsville.

I saw a clip on instagram of her singing I Have Nothing...so the might be a few songs from the shows she's been in. I also remember reading when the tour was announced that she would be singing songs from her west end performances.

Is there a warm up act and does it start sharply at 7?

I have to say, her material is a bit so-so but that voice of hers when she lets rip is astonishing. I don't think her album recordings do it justice. You have to hear her live to really appreciate it where she's just something else.

Just digging this up, as I've just seen on twitter that apparently Beverley has fainted/collapsed on stage during her performance at the Royal Albert Hall for Children In Need Rock for Terry Wogan. She had to be helped off-stage according to one tweet. Hope she is OK.

I was there. She was mid-song and at first I thought she'd just become overly emotional but it soon became clear she couldn't continue and was beckoning for help while holding on to the mic stand for support. The MD went to her aid, along with a member of crew, and they helped her walk from the stage. She didn't collapse as such (not while in view at least), but was reported by the Children in Need team as feeling faint and receiving best attention.
She returned to the stage in the second half and performed the song in full. Beautifully. Full standing ovation in response, deservedly so.

I wonder if she'll perform in The Bodyguard tonight? It's very sad to hear what happened and I hope it's not because she's too busy with work and that is stressful for her
