I am afraid you cannot have Putney County Spelling Bee, as we all know Londdon doesn't have any Counties and has a Mayor, if you said Putney Mayor Spelling Bee, I would have allowed that one to slip.
Can someone confirm if the Beautiful Game is partly set in London, I thought it was entirely set in Belfast?
***58 so far***

Back in the Dark Ages a guy call Bernard J Taylor did quite a few of new musical with lots of West End names. Think he was trying to do a Frank Wildhorn first!! I think in the end they went out to Am Dram. I will probably be told they are wrong but here goes -
Pride and Predudice - well they went in and out of London? Success - A sort of Dr Faustus, song writer selling his soul but cant remember if set in London or NYC IF we could prove Heathcliff lived in London as well, He did Wuthering Heights (Dave Willetts & Lesley Garrett) also there is Cliff Richard's version??
Joan of Kent (The BR Musical) was the fight about the route of the tunnel to and from London. By Henry Lewis and I think reading some where they did a performance to raise money??

Sandy Wilson wrote a musical set on Clapham Common about a lady who levitated. I think it might have been called the Clapham Wonder. Anyone remember the film of The Tall Guy, and the Les miserable styled Elephant Man musical? How about various Coward musicals?

There must be a couple more out there.
But seriously 10/10 for the contribution so far, some of you are justified in giving yourself a pat on the back.

Jack the Ripper already on the list, but Barnardo certainly wasn't.
I have been populating the list, which I will publish in due course, we have 74 so far, this is seriously good guys.
But I am positive their are several more out there........
Let's find out the real theatre aficionados, who have too much time on their hands.

Have we had Pickwick? and the short lived Hard Times? Does Cox and Box count? Isn't "Hard Times" set in Coketown, aka Manchester?
How about "Bashville" and "Bashville in Love" - both based on the G.B. Shaw play "The Admirable Bashville"? Parts are set in London.
