There is a decent production of Sam Shepard's Curse of the Starving Class on at the moment, at the Signature Theatre. There's a real sheep on stage, mostly in a small cage. At one point in the action, a naked man runs through the set holding the sheep. It's an odd play and obviously reflective of Shepard's unique vision of American society. The Signature is a theater complex on 42nd Street near Broadway, housing three theaters, public spaces, and catering. It's very much like a London venue and is a very pleasant and affordable. I don't think Shepard's works are done in London much, although I do recall a fine production of Fool for Love many years ago, with Ian Charleson and Julie Walters. www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/curse-starving-class-theater-1209862www.signaturetheatre.org

a naked man runs through the set holding the sheep Hopefully above or well below waist height. Well above the waist. It's the one scene in which the sheep doesn't upstage the actor.
