Our second fundraising event after the success of ‘An Aria of Hope and Dreams’ sees award winning American musical theatre lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz visit Manchester to present a showcase of his most memorable numbers and take part in his first ever panel discussion in the UK on his life and work.
In a career that spans four decades Schwartz has written such critically acclaimed shows as WICKED, PIPPIN and GODSPELL and contributed lyrics to the films POCAHONTAS, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME and THE PRINCE OF EGPYT.
Together with Joseph Stein and Charles Strous Schwartz created RAGS, the unofficial sequel to the fantastic FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and a sweeping saga of America’s immigrant past, which Hope Aria Productions are proud to present as our first show in 2019. We are incredibly excited to welcome Stephen to Manchester and into the wonderful Hope Mill Theatre to present this evening in celebration of his contribution to musical theatre.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Hope Aria Production’s 2019 season of work.
