On a slightly related note, in an article about Robert Icke and Mary Stuart I read recently the writer told us that having two actors alternate parts wasn’t a new idea as Danny Boyle did it with Frankenstein in 2011. Of course old Shakespeare hands like me and learfan know that the most famous examples of it were in productions in 1935 and 1974, long before Boyle.

My good friend Chris is in this so glad to hear it's being reviewed well. Pity I won't get to see it!

You're right, it was pretty shoddy fact checking on my behalf, a rush to a tight deadline and misreading a programme note. Of course the days when a fact checker or sub editor would save ourselves are behind us, so it's more imperative than ever to be on top of our game.  'I'm not the finest character who ever lived. But I'm a human being'' (and errors will sometimes be made)

I wish Theatre Royal Bath had a system for transferring productions from both its spaces as they do such appealing and well-reviewed work but it seems so hit-and-miss as to which plays transfer. A London receiving house would be great, as would touring, eg in association with a couple of other regional theatres, which some already do - shares the costs and extends the reach.
