Saw this last night at Leeds - Cher put on a brilliant show, so OTT and lavish, and a wonderful summary of her career. If you go an see Cher you want the hits, the costumes and the wigs and this is what she delivered with style. Highlights for me were "I've Got You Babe" which was really touching, "Walking in Memphis", and of course, "Turn Back Time." Her voice pretty much held up throughout the night, although it was noticeable how similar her backing singer's voice was. She looked like she was having fun throughout the entire night and this was infectious.
Paul Young on the other hand sounded like a less tuneful version of Vic Reeve's pub singer. Truly terrible. Its such a shame as we were so looking forward to seeing him.

One of her best and she never talks about it! I'd be happy for her even to revive GENUINE hits like Love And Understanding, The Music's No Good Without You. Dove L'Amore etc! |
