There’s an article and interview in the Stage with Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire, formerly of ATG and now of Trafalgar Entertainment Group and it says what they’ve done in the last 12 months and the future. Aside from looking to acquire and build new theatres and produce shows, they’ve also building boutique cinemas with the first opening in Chiswick in 2019. www.thestage.co.uk/features/interviews/2018/howard-panter-and-rosemary-squire-buy-back-atg-of-course-wed-have-a-look-at-it/ Its interesting to see they’re using their experience from ATG but using to build a bigger entertainment company, I’m a bit surprised they’ve decided to go into the boutique cinema market considering how competitive it is with Picturehouse, Everyman and Curzon successfully cornering that market but they did run the Ambassadors Cinema so it’s not like it’s new territory.

Very interesting article, thanks! Thought it was odd at the time that they stepped down from running ATG to run a single small theatre. Obviously playing a bit of a long game! Will be amusing if they do end up buying ATG back, as suggested here. The cinema bit is odd, I agree. Plus there's this bit ... More on that here - www.screendaily.com/distribution/uk-distributor-trafalgar-releasing-reveals-structure-and-growth-plan/5119347.article - they bought Picturehouse Releasing which was the film distribution arm of Picturehouse (ie the cinema chain), so not just the live theatre streaming part of it. Agree that their cinema plans sound very similar to Curzon, Picturehouse and Everyman.

A bit unrelated but i've been speaking to Howard most days at work and have just had one of those 'Oh my goodness you're that person' moments.
He's very polite and has a great sense of humour!

It's just occurred to me, I spelt Trafalgar wrong in the title! Can the mods correct it please.
