Seeing this in Madrid in a couple of weeks. It is an Italian production directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo, performed in English tho.
I booked mainly because Ted Neeley, the original Jesus, stars in it.
Has anyone seen this version?
Edit: oh, I meant the Jesus from the original movie.

My parents saw it in Milan one year ago and they were very impressed with Neeley

Ted Neeley's gonna be doing this role until he's as old as Jesus would be today, God love him (which he obviously does).

Wow! I have no words to describe how I feel right now. Ted is incredible, 73 years old and still kicking arse. I've cried buckets during Gethsemane, the way he performs it is just out of this world. Something you need to experience live. Longest mid-song standing ovation I've ever seen.
