I guess anywhere other than West End/Broadway its a bit unusual for one show to have an extended run. Like Hamilton in Chicago.

Just spotted this on the Tina Casting director's page – "Future: Twelfth Night ( Young Vic) Motown UK Tour, Come From Away ( Abbey Theatre Dublin)" tinathemusical.com/creative/pippa-ailion-cdg/Can't wait for this to be announced officially!

Well spotted! Great detective work, I am so buzzed about this, it’s making me giddy. We can’t be too far off an imminent announcement, surely.

Oh, I see. Thanks! I had never heard that term. It also can refer to a show that does eventually tour but that's not in its original announcement — like Les Miz in LA in the '80s and the first production Book of Mormon in Chicago.

I just listened to ONE song from this musical to see what the fuss was about and now I know. I'll have to take a drive to Dublin to catch this.

It's not particularly unusual in Toronto, although there's rarely more than one at a time. 'Phantom of the Opera' played there for about a decade, and 'Mamma Mia' and 'The Lion King' both ran for several years there.

It was a video of the Broadway cast performing "Welcome to the rock." Some of the other songs were quite good too. I am cabin crew for an airline - so it could just be that I find the subject interesting.

Is there any further news about this coming to Dublin? It seems to have gone very quiet and it’s not even shown on the theatre’s website. Hope it does come to Dublin.

I wouldn’t lose all hope on this yet. There are still seven months until it’s rumoured to open, and on the Abbey theatre website they’re only displaying their shows until November (CFA is allegedly playing December - January ‘19). I must admit though, the sooner it’s announced/on sale the sooner I can get my trip sorted!

Thanks for the information, Tom89. I agree with you - I'm looking to book the trip too, but just awaiting dates.

I was getting a bit worried I was wrong, but here we are! Though with it coming to London, some members might not need to go to Dublin after all!

Well I'm glad people are happy. I thought it was pedestrian, surface and an absolute snooze fest.

Well, those of us who have yet to see it are at least grateful for the forthcoming opportunities to make up our own minds as to how much we like it without having to get on a plane.
