Just seen this on Reddit, someone that is friends with Dave Malloy's wife on Facebook made a screenshot of this Facebook comment (with her picture and name blocked out) saying there are hopes that the show will make it over here:

(Dolokhov) (Drummer) The article has much of the same, with Oak giving his side as I predicted he would. Also confirms they had someone lined up to take over in the Autumn which fell through due to the controversy 'Actors who had been talking with the producers about joining “Great Comet,” including a TV star training with the music team in Los Angeles, backed out.'

"No no he is not a part of the cast."
F*** me, that's condescending.

Sadly can't imagine this happening. What theatre would want to touch it amid all this controversy?

It’s also scheduled to open in the West End in 2019.

The best thing that could happen would be for it to take over at Marble Arch after five guys named moe or a specially designed theatre. It would die a faster death than Spring Awakening over here in a traditional venue.

Sadly can't imagine this happening. What theatre would want to touch it amid all this controversy? Don't necessarily think British people in 2019 will know/care about/remember the controversy and I think for the most part those that will have already 'forgiven' the show as it were. However, I agree that a non traditional venue would be more suitable.

I think this is our only Comet thread? Please move if not! Anyway, interesting article about the future life of this show over the world. A production in Japanese is happening in Tokyo in 2019 that will be staged in a pros-arch theatre seating less than 850. London is also mentioned; apparently "As for London, a plan should be in place by later this spring, according to Howard Kagan, the lead commercial producer of “Great Comet.” If the show doesn’t end up on the West End, it’ll aim for a non-traditional space. By reuniting the original designers, the London staging will look a bit more like the Broadway production than the Tokyo incarnation, but it’ll still be tailored to fit the venue." There won't be a US tour, but instead the plan is to do sit-down runs across the US. Full article: variety.com/2018/legit/columns/great-comet-musical-whats-next-1202704598/

I think this could work very well in London. I was thinking about it for a while, and I think that a purpose built tent like the one they did for Lazarus and In the Heights in King's cross could work very well..more like a "night out" than traditional theatre.
