Really enjoyed this. Yes, a little cheesy in places but I think you have to appreciate that she’s putting on a show. There were enough moments of genuine sincerity for me. Great fun and some special performances; For Good with Ms Tucker was a highlight, as was Taylor the Latte Boy (for me, anyway, I’ve never seen her live before). And Smile as the encore, without a mic, was just lovely. I can add Bonnie Langford to the spotted-in-the-audience list! I thought it was a wonderful evening and all the more special because it was a one-off. Agree it was overpriced though.

She does a stunning version of I Will Always Love You (obviously in Dolly style!), I would of been a tad dissapointed if that didnt make an appearance.

Thanks for the reports everyone! I think if I'd been in London I'd have gone along but could't justify those ticket prices and travel/accommodation. But it does sound like a great night!
I'm weirdly pleased she sang 'Taylor the Latte Boy'

I am curious to know if you would have paid £90 to see her? I wrestled with my conscience but decided against it. I am also curious about the six comps; etiquette still probably demands discretion but there appeared to be very little availability up to the day of the concert. I am aware of "keeps", "holds" and "house seats" and had thought these might be released online which begs the question how much of the house was papered? As an ex-Theatre professional I was lucky enough to get comps for everything in the West End and also know that nothing is ever "sold out". Can't quite believe I passed on a comp to see KC at the Donmar (pre-Wicked) as I wasn't fond of her squeaky voice....... I would pay £90 to see her again if she performs with a full orchestra. She was really wonderful, but £90 with just a piano is a bit too much. About the comps, you know that we are supposed to be discreet and not reveal the sources. Like you I'm an ex-Theatre profesional and still have some contacts. I'm also a member of different theatre clubs. In the case of this concert I originally got offered 2 comps which is the norm. However on Wednesday I got offered more and was told I could have as many as I wanted. My guess in this case is that probably some agencies returned lots of tickets and the producers decided to give them away instead of having blocks of empty seats, but I can't be sure...

I am curious to know if you would have paid £90 to see her? I didn't, but that's £35 less than the top price ticket for Wicked.

I enjoyed this very, very, much! Yeah sometimes it was cheesy, I don't know if all the tears were real, it's sometimes was pretty 'american' to me. (As in, everything was amazing, she was overwhelmed by everything etc) but I thought it was real and I really enjoyed her flawless vocals. The
Also; who was the guy laughing a few times? I got a feeling the third time was fake, but the first two times his laugh filled the Palladium I was literally crying. HAHAHAHA
The only thing I didnt like was the ArtsEd students. I thought they didn't do a very good job, it was boring to watch (what do you want to do later? well Kristin, make an educated guess..), I loved the bit with Rachel Tucker waaaaayyy better!

I am amazed she has not done Candide on broadway Same here. Although judging from the video I find her to be far from ideal for the role

Much as I love Kristin Chenoweth, let's hope any concerts don't occur after a No Deal Brexit, as a lack of insulin could be armageddon for her audience!

She was great in Wicked and meh in almost everything ever since. I do not understand the appeal.

What is funnier is that since she originated Galinda, yes Galinda, in her own voice everyone else has copied it.

The issue is Glinda was very much edited once Kristin joined the project, so she is basically Glinda, so I'm not surprised some actresses have struggled with getting her out of their head.

There's an advert on the back of the Aspects of Love programme saying June 2019.
