Has anybody (that pre-registered for this) heard if they have been assigned tickets yet?

Me neither. But isn't it marathon day? At least I won't have to be on the tube with sweaty runners and flag-bearing proud family members.

I guess some people might get emails around 4ish if others don't claim their tickets.

Pff We're sorry you were unsuccessful in the lottery.
But don't worry you can still watch Live at The Other Palace with Andrew Lloyd Webber & Lin Manuel Miranda as we will be streaming it live via our Facebook page!
Head over to our Facebook page and set a reminder so you don't miss out. The live stream will commence at 7pm on Sun 23 April so you can watch the whole event live.

I was also unsuccessful, but I'm not that bothered to tell the truth. I imagine the bulk of the seats had already been set aside as comps for ALW's friends.

Was a great interview - think ALW held his own against the verbose LMM. Thought the interviewer was cringeworthy Tumbleweed virtually rolled around the auditorium after he insisted on reading the terrible review of Starlight Express..😳

Thought the interviewer was cringeworthy Tumbleweed virtually rolled around the auditorium after he insisted on reading the terrible review of Starlight Express..😳 I thought Paul was fine. It was awkward but I understand why he asked that question, I mean the song is called The Rap, although the review was about the second version. I actually think Andrew made it more awkward by trying to pretend it never happened and dismissing it. By all means, it's nothing like Lin's rap, but it's called The Rap so a valid point to be raised.

I just thought it was a shame. Up to that point it was a cracking discussion and you could see there was mutual admiration and respect between these two titans of theatre. Bringing up a 'rap' written by ALW decades ago which was essentially rubbished in a scathing review while the master of rap LMM is sitting right next to him just seemed at odds with the (up to that point) good hearted and genial tone of the interview. To me it seemed a poor joke which didn't land. Even LMM looked a bit embarrassed. Just seemed a question which didn't need to be asked and we didn't really need the answer to? For me, an awkward moment in an otherwise pretty perfect 60 mins or so of theatre geekery 😊

The reading of the review was completely unnecessary, but the question was relevant. Did anyway notice 'the Lord' trying for applause by mentioning School of Rock?!

It seemed unnecessary to start an entire new thread, but the 2nd Live at The Other Palace event will take place on June 11th, with Andrew Lloyd Webber in conversation with Hal Prince.

Did anyway notice 'the Lord' trying for applause by mentioning School of Rock?! There's something utterly absurd about Lord Lloyd Webber and the Downton Abbey guy presenting a musical about sticking it to the man.
