One of the best things I've seen at this theatre.
Tender and funny throughout and Julie Hesmondhalgh is just magnificent. Fine supporting cast.
The last few seconds are SO good. Shocking, heartbreaking, uplifting and raw power all at the same time. I walked home shaking and in tears.
Just brilliant.

Ah damn - if I knew this was on a couple of months ago I would have found the time to trip up to Manchester to see it. Brilliant play.

Saw this off-Broadway in 1999 and in London in 2000 so a trip to Manchester to see the glorious Julie Hesmondhalgh was always a no-brainer.
Absolutely brilliant!
