It is sad to see that 2016 continues to kill off so many beloved people. Most of all for me Richard Adams
You could say I was scarred from a young age watching Watership Down. Yet I would still go back to watch that film time and time again. I'd like to think that film partly made me who I am. And it is one of the few books I would repeatedly listen to on audiobook.
I was pleased to finally see Rona Munro's stage adaptation at the Watermill Theatre near the real downs. I believe Richard attended a performance. Shame I didn't see him
Here's to you Richard Adams
And as 2016 ends we face the troubling times ahead I think we can look to a few wise words from him
