Just when I've finally worked out which exit from Elephant and Castle tube to use!
At one point they were planning to also open a new space at Elephant and Castle too - wonder if that is still on the cards?

Along with the refurbished Tricycle, The Bush and now Southwark the small off West End Theatres are eclipsing the facilities at most of the traditional venues. This fits in perfectly with my preference for staying away from the West End Theatres, is being allergic to Proscenium Arches and ornate ceilings a recognised theatrical condition? With you all the way Neil, of the 18 theatre trips we've got booked so far this year, only Hamilton is "West End". We've just moved to St Katharine's, so now have The Bridge as our local and the new Southwark Playhouse will just be a short walk, we're actually off to Pippin tonight.

I’m so glad it’s not just me that hardly ever steps foot in the West End It must be well over 10 years since I went to a West End flea pit. Much longer since I went to the appalling Haymarket which actually stages things I’d go to if they were on outside the West End.

I much preferred the London Bridge site to where they are at the moment, and while I'm pleased to see they're going back to London Bridge, the fact they're saying that will be a satellite venue doesn't fill me with much enthuasiasm: I'm just not that keen on going to Elephant & Castle to be honest.

I like Elephant & Castle more now that Mercato Metropolitano is a thing, but I did and still do prefer London Bridge as a location. I used to go all the time when it was at London Bridge but haven't been much at all since the move. I don't realistically see my attendance going back up after this next stage either to be honest, I'll probably just continue to take it on a case by case basis.

So long as it’s still a short walk from a Nando’s then I’m happy.

So long as it’s still a short walk from a Nando’s then I’m happy. These days most things seem to be a short walk from Nando's.
