I am quite sad Suffs is closing, it does have a good heart. But I guess, America has proven that the story just didn't speak to them (There's an obvious comparison to make to real events here, but I will refrain from doing so). Have Tammy Faye or MHE announced a closing date yet? I couldn't find anything from a quick search (or i searched badly!).
Quite interested in which long runner is "possibly" closing in January. Grosses from the past two weeks seem to indicate most shows open since at least 2022 are doing pretty okay (albiet thats a limited snapshot)

What will it take for Chicago to close? Obviously it's a Broadway institution and I don't wish it to close but it always seems to be pretty low down in terms of gross plus capacity. I'm guessing it's cheap to run.

I'm guessing it's cheap to run. Chicago can get a boost from stunt casting, another factor is that the theatre isn't exactly desirable.

I’m planning a Broadway trip end Feb, and I’m really miffed Suffs is closing early as I’ll miss it now :-(
I’ve bought my ticket for Maybe Happy Ending already as a show of support for it, but it doesn’t sound hopeful at the moment from murmurings online.
Isn’t a January massacre somewhat standard though?

I hope Maybe Happy Ending can stick it out because it’s so cute!

What else could the long runner be if not Chicago? BOM? Mormon is still making profit every week, I can't imagine it'll close anytime soon.

What else could the long runner be if not Chicago? BOM? Six? It's got a lower percentage of capacity than Maybe Happy Ending at the moment.

The only long-runner that could be closing is SIX.

Does it count as a long runner? It’s not been that long? Aladdin seems to always be discounted too.

I mean, how well is Hadestown at the moment?

Though how I wish it were Encanto or Moana with a Julie Taymor approach instead.

Isn't Coco quite far into development by Disney?
