Hiya! I'm from Australia and will be visiting London next week. I'm seeing Phantom on Wednesday but was unable to get tickets in my price range for any show on Monday.
How likely am I to get 2 rush/on-the-day tickets to anything worth seeing?

Hello, fellow Aussie here. I recommend using the TodayTix app if you don't already. Most of the shows do rush tix through them now. I know Wicked has a Daily Dozen rush every morning. Good luck & enjoy London .

Adding to the suggestions of TodayTix! TKTS offers also go online from midnight, granted not usually as cheap as rush tickets.
Would also just note Wicked doesn't do Monday shows anymore, they're Tuesday to Sunday. Guys and Dolls immersive standing tickets are usually easy to grab on the day through TodayTix. I've been looking at tickets for next week too so know they also have a pretty good discount on Kiss Me, Kate atm with not bad at all seats from £25. And the way it's selling I imagine it won't be difficult on the day. Next to Normal have also released their front row for £35, if any of those are of interest.

I'll be looking at both sites then

I would just add to make sure you're on TodayTix and ready to buy Rush tickets at 10am on the dot (so unlock Rush before then). They go extremely fast at times! Good luck and hope you have a great trip 🙂

Next to Normal, Les Mis, and Cabaret would be great but I have to bend to my sister's will so probably something more like Mamma Mia Worth noting Les Mis doesn’t have a rush option. There tend to be some tickets for most every show that go on TKTS at midnight at a discount. Otherwise TodayTix is often a bit more expensive than booking direct through the show’s website or box office. Mamma Mia does the same but books up in summer so bargain seats harder to come by. Cabaret has a lottery rather than a rush but still through TodayTix. And Next to Normal has the normal 10am rush out of your list.

Operation Mincemeat - but it has a much discussed pricing pattern - that is not difficult to explain (one price for all seats, but different prices on different days) - but is confounding. Monday is the least expensive day and Mondays are showing sold out through 12 August.

Do day seats from theatres still exist, or have they all been replaced by TodayTix/online.

Do day seats from theatres still exist, or have they all been replaced by TodayTix/online. It is my understanding that some still do. However I believe these are in the minority. Most theatres sell then online via the varying platforms on the app.

How likely am I to get 2 rush/on-the-day tickets to anything worth seeing? Depends on the show. The more popular it is, especially with a younger audience, the harder it is to get Rush/cheap last minute tickets. In terms of all potential options though, this is a handy guide www.theatremonkey.com/day-seat-finder Just note that for some productions, if you want cheap last minute tickets you have to try before the day you want to go.
