Following Robert Downey Jr. announcing a run on Broadway later this year, Playbill has announced that George Clooney has signed up for a run of Goodnight, and Good Luck on Broadway next year (theatre unconfirmed but apparently it’s a Schubert Theatre)
I’ve seen the film when it was released and from what I can remember I liked it rather than loved it so I will see who is in this before getting too excited about booking something a year in advance, good to see the return of some proper big names on Broadway though.

This is exciting! I always thought that film would make a fantastic play, so much so that I precociously enquired about adaptation rights when I was 17… funnily enough I didn’t hear back after my second email.
Hoping this ends up being great and gets a transfer. And if not, the filmmakers know where I am when it needs a complete rewrite.

Heard its the Winter Garden so I guess BTTF is closing next year but who knows. That seems a bit big for GNAGL as it's a musical house but they have had plays there like Wolf Hall.

So, it’s going to be playing The Winter Garden, previews from March 12th, opening April 3rd and closing June 8th: I’ll be in NYC in August so I’ll be giving this a miss but who knows, maybe it will transfer here before the end of next year.
