She was mentioned in a thread a while back and I thank our member alece10 for the tip about her show Liberty which sent me off to watch it on YouTube. Since watching that I’m getting Elaine content pushed into my YT feed.
My memory of her as a kid was of a (what I thought) very old fashioned (even then) and unfunny sitcom with Donald Sinden as her butler. I also remember her popping up on tv shows and me being fascinated but thinking “who is this crazy American woman?”.
Of course we know her from the iconic Company OBC and that documentary about the recording but does Elaine Stritch get the credit she deserves?
